  1. He had a run scored in one at bat the game prior, went one for three with a walk the game before that, walked and scored a run in his only plate appearance the game before that.... But hey, why bother actually looking.
  2. Why's that? Because he had a bad game Saturday?
  3. I'm pretty sure the turnaround started before he left. But that narrative isn't as good.
  4. He wasn't better than Bonds in the 90's. Bonds had four years with an rWAR of 9 in the 90's, three between 8 and 9. Griffey had one MVP in the 90's, Bonds had three. I guess if you only watched American League games you might think Griffey was better but he wasn't. He was more hyped, I'll give you that. If you don't believe me go look at the numbers.
  5. Bonds' career started before Griffey's. I don't think you could make a convincing argument that Griffey was the superior player.
  6. Same as before. Some tears are obviously going to require surgery and some aren't.
  7. I think the Tell-Tale Heart is more widely read than the Raven.
  8. I stand by the idea that most of them would just blindly agree with him. A few folks here or there would squawk.
  9. I think that if Elias was to change course a large portion of the fanbase would switch right with him without missing a beat.
  10. Is it the fanbase or is it Elias and the fanbase is just following?
  11. Fourth game with 23 hits, the record is 33. Looks like it is the record in a 9 inning game. http://reconditebaseball.blogspot.com/2008/05/most-team-hits-in-loss.html The link above doesn't look to be complete, sorry was the first one I found.
  12. Or maybe a position player, whose left on the bench?
  13. Veteran presence. Can't risk disrespecting him.
  14. Or just cut him. He's a free agent in a month anyway.
  15. Is this the time to experiment with changing a player's fundamental role on the team?
  16. Only reasons I can think of is that the O's are paying him or that they are afraid someone else will pick him up and it will come back to hurt them. Neither one of which seem like good reasons to me.
  17. He's fit right in with the Rangers' pen.
  18. He has the right to. But it isn't a good move for his brand. I didn't say he couldn't. And yea, it'd be nice if it didn't matter.
  19. I want the team to lose. I don't have anything against the vast majority of the players on the team. For instance Judge seems like a good egg.
  20. Same thing. It isn't their fault. Why root against them? What did they do? Terrible mindset IMO.
  21. Sorry, but it sure sounded like it. Not reason to take it out on the kids that got traded. Be annoyed at Flaherty or Elias, or the owner.
  22. I can see where you would be in favor of rooting against kids trying to make a living. Seems on par for you.
  23. Nice of you to root against people doing well. Not like this is their career or anything and not as if they had a choice.
