  1. If I am limited to only 3 transactions/moves to better the team for 2023 then I would do the following (in no particular order, but still budget conscious on the future 1. Sign Tucker Barnhardt to back up Adley, can hit decently and is of course left handed hitter. 2. Sign Anthony Rizzo to a lofty 1 yr deal with a 2nd yr option. With the removal of the shift and our short porch in RF, i think he might hit closer to .240 but have same power numbers. 3. Sign Koudai Senga to a 4 or 5 yr contract with maybe the intent to really make noise in 2024 and have a Japanese player on the team that could assist with the chances to enter the Ohtani sweepstakes. By signing Rizzo to a 1 yr deal you would have 1B open for Adley on some days for Ohtani to DH and work out a schedule for pitching days or off days. You could then pencil in Mountcastle for 1st or a converted 3B/OF to 1st that will be blocked. This could be the true middle of the order bat for our contending 2024-2027 teams. It might take 50 million for him, but if could feasible to maintain that salary on a short term 4 yr deal before the big years hit for Adley, Gunnar and other extensions. Ideally i would add another pitcher as well and I would also look to extend Adley and Gunnar to decent extensions like others have noted that would buy out at least 2 years each of free agency, but highlighted my first 3 above.
  2. Interesting question. The Orioles never put tickets for "opening day" for sale. Now that they formally announced that the first 2 series are canceled, that means technically as of right now whenever this ends, Opening Day tickets would be available. Hypothetically Baseball really works hard to maintain Jackie Robinson Day and they only cancel the first 4 series of the year and "Opening Day" becomes that Friday. What would happen to those who purchase Opening Day packages versus just the single day. Would this become a big mess?
  3. The celebration part. I know originally the game aired that night and then luckily MASN stayed on through the celebration and introduction of the Orioles that year as they came and shook everyone's hands. So if both were an option, I'd take it, but definitely trying to find MASN telecast of the 60th celebration
  4. Happy Sunday Everyone! I have a strange question to ask and thought this would be the perfect group to ask. My Husband is an absolute diehard Orioles Fan and one of his favorite moments we have enjoyed together was the Orioles 60th Anniversary Celebration. We used to watch it on You Tube (as MASN Orioles had the entire celebration from the telecast ) numerous times throughout each year. Yesterday, our son was asking about Daddys Team and we were watching the game from the night before when we went to look for the Anniversary video again, but it wasn't there. I know its been several years, but wanted to see if anyone might have a copy of the telecast or knew of an alternative way to find that celebration. Would it be something the Orioles could provide maybe? We don't live in the MD area, so didn't know if it might be something they offer for purchase at the Team Store and that's why it might have been taken down from MASN' youtube channel. Thanks in advance, even if it's a lost cause. PS: Happy Early Father's Day to everyone in the Hangout!
  5. Thanks for taking the time to do that. That was fun to do earlier in the year!
  6. Well my thought process was just going by favorites for various reason. It could be based on winning culture or just key moments you remember about them as a fan. Anything that makes you feel that reason about them is fine. My wife wanted to do a favorite list but it would just be based on how hot she thought they were I can say in reviewing these that it's been nice to see that I wasn't the only one who remembered various players after enjoying a bit of success here lately. It was cool to see BJ Ryan noted a couple of times. Glad to see people have enjoyed and we all appreciate the different Orioles Magic cultures we grew up in.
  7. No worries, I had to really think about him. I liked him but I met Jason Johnson a lot with season tickets and he just snuck by. I agree stats would put Bedard in.
  8. I stole this idea from the Twitter account of OriolesJesus but it really made me think back to some of my favorite players that have worn the orange and black for the past 29 years (25 or so I can actually recall.
