  1. I think this just shows how much our lineup needs a .900 OPS guy in the middle of it. I know they are hard to find but if we are shooting for WS titles, we need one of those guys.
  2. That write up does scream Yordan Alvarez. The power potential between this kid, Mayo, Kjerstaad, Gunnar is absolutely salivating. Possibly 4 guys that could scrape 40 bombs a year. And then high average/obp guys in Jackson, Adley, CC, Bradfield. Lets Goooo!
  3. Bradish is a pitcher man. He has an idea, he has above average stuff across the board and he is in his prime. If he can get slightly more pitch efficient, he'll be even better. The guy had an ERA under 3 in the hardesr division in baseball. I love that dude.
  4. I would rather see what pitching we could get from Seattle using these two guys.
  5. Adter trading Mullins for Burnes in this hypothetical... Would something like Cowser, Kremer, Ortiz, Norby, McDermott get us Robert and Cease? Id probably swap Bradfield out for any one of those guys if Chicago wanted.
  6. We have too many prospects at AAA that are either ready now or will be in July 2024. Elias needs to figure out who his guys are and then deal from the excess. The time to win is now. Trading guys like Cowser/Norby/Ortiz/Kjerstad should be able to net a solid SP in trade. Do it and get this team better next year. Gibson is a last resort signing that should available if we need him in March.
  7. Robert has 2 years on his deal PLUS 2 years of team options at 20 Mil per. His age 26-29 seasons. A prime target we should explore.
  8. Id be looking to trade Cowser+ for Luis Robert, somehow. If that just flat isn't going to work, Cowser would be my LF and I let Hays go for whatever I could get. He's replaceable. Mountcastle can stay but he has to work on not being so streaky. No reason he isn't an .800 OPS guy who should hit 7th in a lineup. Still only 27 next year.
  9. Go get Alonso. Hall and Wells in the bullpen Get a number 2/3 starter. Pray that Jackson Holliday is Bo Bichette. Trade Mullins/Cowser for Luis Robert Pray Coby Mayo is ready in July.
  10. But but do we have home field in the playoffs now!?
  11. Man I hope so. Superstars show up in the Postseason. Adley did not.
  12. In 2023, yes Seager is better. Cmon. He hit .327 with a .1013 OPS. 33 HR and 42 2B. And missed 40 games.
  13. Nice job Hicks. Rollover to first.
  14. As good as Gunnar is, Corey Seager is undoubtedly better. That's the difference between us and them. We aren't ready.
  15. He needs to get his body right this offseason. He has to become Buster Posey and not Matt Wieters.
  16. Gunnar and Tony were all we had. Gunnar at age 22, hits .500 in his first postseason. Adley, meanwhile, 1-12.
  17. Not saying Heim is a better player than Adley over the course of 162 games. But if Adley is a 8/10, Heim is a 7.5/10
  18. Who was the AL Starter this year? Add Garver to the equation and Texas is probably better there.
  19. Look at the stats. Taveras vs Mullins is a push. And Mountcastle is not better than Lowe. At best we're a push there.
  20. Id be looking to upgrade from Ryan O'Hearn but maybe I'm asking for too much.
  21. 2-9, what position are we better at right now than the Rangers?
  22. 5/26 on the year. Career .172 hitter with an OPS 200 points lower when hitting lefties. At 30 years old, you normally don't figure out how to hit lefties.
  23. Even what O'Hearn was, he was only an 800 OPS first baseman who we had to platoon because he couldn't hit. lefties.
