I love the fact that we fought back and that we have consistently hit elite pitching. But we didn't deserve to win this game.
-
The announcers on Orioles radio are now openly saying things like "That wasn't even a good swing, he just kind of flicked his wrists and was still behind on the fastball.
That being said, Davis did have a good at bat before doing what comes naturally to him.
-
If Iglesias is available, choosing to put Davis in is indefensible.
-
What the hell happened that inning> Taking three K's looking on fastballs?
-
I'm rooting for Means with all he has been through, and it's not like we can't give him lots of chances to succeed. Let's hope he turns it around soon so it's not a lost season for him.
-
Akin should get the innings that Carroll is getting. We cannot allow Carroll to continue pitching until he figures out his command. I'm struggling to think of a pitcher that has ever struggled more.
-
Man, this season has been so exciting! I've never had so much fun rooting for a bad team.

Announcers hated that call too. Said it wasn't inside and was a strike. I'm shocked Hyde isn't protesting more. Two away, one more!
-
That play was amazing from Ruiz, and I'm not sure the runner was out, but that's OK! I've never seen something like that before either.
Ruiz gets the MVP for the night.
-
Announcers absolutely losing it on the Ruiz play! I've got to see it tomorrow. They said it was a "web gem", was it that good?

Wow, the announcers on MLB audio are really upset about that call. It's hard enough to win games with our roster without this kind of stuff. They said it was clearly a strike, no doubt about it.
-
Castro has a lot of talent but he is missing badly on some of his pitches. We won't have the lead after this inning.
-
Man, I was really high on Castro this year too. He had been great this season, but he's gonna blow the lead two nights in a row.

Is Mountcastle Delmon Young level bad out there? DSJ is a very low bar, I don't think anyone here could limbo under it.
-
Do you guys think Mountcastle is much better than Dwight Smith Jr. defensively? I know DSJ is bad defensively, but at least he is hitting for us right now. Mountcastle didn't look great in the outfield from what little I've seen.
-
I know guys like Iglesias, Alberto, Sisco, Nunez, and Santander are all hitting better than they will once stats normalize, but man it's fun to watch right now!
-
5-3 good guys!

This team is fun to watch except for one guy really.
Hey, give Jose Flores a shot, I think he's been plenty fun to watch waving guys around third!

The 60 man roster is practically full. He's blocking someone from getting coaching and instruction in Bowie. Whether that's Lowther or whoever.
That's a good point, hadn't thought about that. It would be cool to give Lowther a chance.
-
I know our offense isn't sustainable, but it really has been fun to watch this year (outside of the Marlins).
-
Tie game boys! Ruiz, Nunez, Santander, Sisco, and Alberto are shining with the bats this year. Let's hope it continues!

You would think that his days have to be numbered. The Covid year means he is blocking somebody getting live training work in, not just some live body on the MLB team. How much is a marginal loss worth?
If the Orioles aren't going to bring up Mountcastle than I don't see who he is blocking in the minors. Anybody else is marginal or in the low minors. I'm as frustrated as anyone else with Davis, but there's just not much competition.
Santander is making me more of believer as time goes on. I just wish he could get that OBP up. It's hard to be successful when you can't get on base at a .300 clip.
We're on the board fellas! Wheeler is struggling a little bit, but we need to make him pay now. When he's on it's hard to score runs.

Great remix, lol. The original is great too.
The Phillies have a lot of talent on the roster, I think they have a good chance to make the playoffs the way the Nats and Mets are playing.

Guys, I knew they weren't playing ball in the minors this year, but my statements about Rutschman aren't unfounded, and I'm not the only one that thinks this way. When Baseball America says that someone is the best prospect since Bryce Harper, I think seeing struggles in the low minors are a legit concern. I'm concerned about Hays too even though he had limited at bats this year too. Hitting under .600 in Delmarva isn't good, 46 at bats or not. He's still an amazing prospect, but there is some cause for concern with me. How can you blame me after seeing so many prospects flame out?
No more argument to play Chris Davis

We didn't have anyone else who could pinch hit on the bench? If Davis was the only option (which I really don't think he was), then it was the right call I suppose. Mullins is even worse with the bat than Davis. I wish we could get rid of both since neither brings value to the club.
