  1. McCann little bit of an upgrade, Frazier upgrade over Odor, Gibson upgrade over Lyles ..everything helps
  2. Texas just better than us right now .. hitting, pitching, even bullpen which has been weak, fielding.. hope we somehow get one
  3. Just feels like Texas is a team we just do not match up well with at all
  4. Well if Grayson had been lights out and Means not injured, i think he would have stayed with what he has. If Cole Irvin or DLHall exceed current expectations, he may still.
  5. I hope you all are correct.. but he has not looked one whit like the pitcher I saw with my own eyes twice before injury. I am sure there are deep dive looks at his mechanics and spin rates and arm angle repeats etc but just the old eyeball test is that he is not throwing the same way he did prior to injury. I hope he gets it straightened out but I am very pessimistic at this point re: TOR
  6. Pretty clear Grod is not going to be the Verlander, Scherzer , DeGrom etc TOR. At this point, it is not clear at all what he is. If he doesn’t find his stuff that was there prior to the injury, he may never see the bigs again. Because if he pitches like he is now when he is at Norfolk, he is going to get hammered there too.
  7. https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/baseball/news/orioles-grayson-rodriguez-sent-down-saturday/amp/ Reported here too
  8. Grayson dominated BEFORE injury and has been awful ever since -at AAA and here .. he has plenty to prove .. he has to find the pre injury Grayson but as of now he is likely going to get hammered in AAA with this stuff.
  9. He is not the same pitcher as he was before the injury. He just isn’t. Dizzy Dean was the best pitcher in baseball till he got hit in the toe with a line drive .. he came back but he was never any good.
  10. Earl Weaver would get rid of these dumb uniforms after getting hammered in them
  11. This … Irvin at least has had major league success to some extent Grayson is a mess mentally
  12. I was going to say .. oh not like tonight !!
  13. I was at Game 3 in 1966 -the Wally Bunker shutout with Paul Blair hitting solo hr as only run. 1-0 ..my Dad pointed out Hank Bauer before the game was up against the rail talking to Casey Stengel and Mickey Mantle. 1969 -Game 1- only one we won against Mets.. I was in the RF bleachers with Dad about five rows back of where Don Buford hit a leadoff HR off Seaver 1970- Game 3- I remember the home runs.. Frank, Buford and of course the Dave McNally grand slam .. Lefty Grove threw out the first pitch and my Dad just went on and on about him .. oh and Brooks of course .. hit 2 doubles and caught that liner from Bench 1971 .. Game 2 .. blew out the Pirates 11-3 .. Jim Palmer was great.. the program cost 1 dollar lol .. 1979- Game 2-my only loss- stupid Don Stanhouse gave up a fluky hit ,a walk then a hit to Manny Sanguillen to lose 3-2.. it was pouring down the rain in the last inning .. i was under a poncho lol 1983- went with my now ex brother in law.. I was in residency program at Hopkins.. Mike Boddicker was amazing just completely shutting down the Phillies. Complete game, 3 hits. I have been blessed beyond measure in many ways but certainly in this regard!!
  14. John Means sent my brother a personal message, and a signed ball right after his no hitter when my brother was in an ICU battling Covid .. my brother recovered and John Means has a very special place in my family’s hearts.
  15. I feel very badly for John .. was just talking about my thoughts for the team the rest of the season.
  16. Given the understated guess now as to him maybe returning, I myself have Xd him out altogether for 2023
  17. Everybody’s different.. many have come back, some haven’t
  18. Thanks for the feedback and comments!! I saw my first World Series in 1966 with my Dad when I was 9 years old. And have been to every World Series the Os have been in.. both my kids were born some years after our last appearance 40 years ago, so I pray for one more time in the Big One!!
  19. It is hilarious how some assume that Elias is somehow not aware of the assets in his own organization and their value and assume he has some misguided emotional connection to “dumpster dives.” That is the difference between fans on a board and a professional GM at the highest level of baseball. I am confident Elias has not only thought through every contingency mentioned here, but about 27 that we fans don’t think of. I will judge Elias almost exclusively on the results I care about most-consistent winning team at the big league level.
  20. I hit golf balls on a driving range in Arnold , MD late one night when he was down there
  21. Adam will just keep doing what I and Mike Elias felt he would do.. get on base, play hard, play good defense, help win games The negative naysayers will just keep on with their negativity
