Not sure how many saw Grayson pitch at Bowie and Norfolk but I saw him and he had DOMINANT stuff. He made hitters look stupid stuff. His pitches are NOT the same quality this year. You do not become consensus number 1 pitcher prospect in MLB without fantastic stuff. He has lost it this year.

2nd best record in MLB playing him so far ..in our efforts to form the “perfect” squad we neglect that the best teams are made up of flawed parts and Frazier has been important to us so far as was Odor last year. Frazier is a much better player than Odor though.

Some hitters never lay off that pitch. Adam Jones, obviously a much better hitter thsn Mateo, seldom laid off.

Soto was not a rental. Teams that rent a player do not get “a leg up” in free agent signing of the player historically. Players go where the money is. Ohtani rental will not require a number 1 prospect imho.
