1.

No kidding. Ignore is a perfect feature for that fool.

 2. And with no damaging starts from Ubaldo. Significantly less damage from out of the pen with a seven run lead, idiotic as though that may seem.
 3.

I'm glad you got it. Last time I did that I received an infraction for "insulting another poster". The other poster repped my post and I followed it up with a more sanitized version of the same posPot with emoticons everywhere.

 4. They should release Chen and keep Hendriks.
 5.

Palmer isn't mentioned as many fans favorite player but he's mine. I was like him when I played constantly questioning the decisions of coaches and managers who I knew were not as smart as me. Sometimes I should have just kept my mouth shut and played, lol, would have prolonged my career and endeared me to more baseball "people." I almost always agree with him when watching the MASN broadcasts.

 6. I watched some of the game and he was filthy for most of it. He lost a little command in the 7th but he looks confident in all of his pitches right now.
 7. Wada got his first ML win tonight. You would have had a clue this might be the night when he struck out the side in the 1st. He went 7 innings, scattering 5 hits and 1 run. SO 6 BB 1
 8. I like Manny 3rd. Jones has more power and so does Cruz. Machado, Jones and Cruz at 3, 4, and 5.
 9.

Thanks, Tony. You and weams made that an enjoyable evening. And you had me and my brother, Jim, in stitches most of the night.

 10. Ha! And I was there to see it!
 11.

Thanks for the HHP, Michael. I'm glad you liked it enough to put it up on the board as you did with the first one. I'm really excited to meet you and your wife and some of the guys at the Hangout Night coming up very soon. See you there!

 12. Koji-san on to my evil schemes.
 13. I think he's done. They should release him. We can buy "low". :eektf:
 14. I'd say that's in line with someone who started the season late after being on the DL with shoulder soreness and who they are being very careful to build up with innings pitched. His success is a by product of how he is performing.
 15. Anytime you post positive numbers here on Jake don't expect much of a response. I've watched a couple of his starts and he's looked very good.
 16. Arrieta went 6 strong innings tonight. Struck out 7 walked 1 and gave up a solo shot to a torrid Seth Smith in the first. That was it. Four hits including the HR and they pulled him after getting out of the 6th striking out the last batter he faced. They're still trying to build up his innings.
 17. Always thinking about future returns.
 18. Don't go confusing the matter, alright?
 19. Maybe, I would think he considers trading him to a team right now who has a need. His contract is an albatross for a team like Oakland and now he knows he has the depth there. The Angels could use a closer.
 20. He also had a single earlier in the game to drive in one and raised his average to .250 on the year. Maybe Beane gets it. By having one closer and letting that guy accumulate a mountain of saves it does nothing but drive up prices when it comes arbitration time. I'm not sure how it affects Johnson's value going forward if instead of 50 saves he only has, say 20-25. As you say, they seem to be spreading the wealth amongst a few very capable guys. Johnson is also a commodity. I wouldn't put it past Beane to flip him at the deadline to a team in need and restock if one of the other guys has proven himself.
 21. Have you watched the game or even highlights? I get people being upset he didn't do well for us, but he looked good. He commanded all of pitches and never lost command. I don't really know what more you could ask for from a starting pitcher. Of course, for Arrieta the test is doing it over a length of time.
 22. I think he's on a course for ace like status. The revival of the ages. Based on absolutely nothing but my gut. How ya them apples? Wait, wait...ok. It's hot here.
 23. Bedard is looking like a good pick up because of the injury to Matt Moore. Still trying to build up his innings he threw 85 pitches today over six innings and gave up 1 run on 6 hits, SO 3 and walked 1. He may have a little more confidence playing for a perennial contender like TB with a solid defense behind him than he did with a doormat like Houston.
 24. Exactly. Can you imagine when it all comes together?
