  1. I had tickets for 9/16 but had to switch to 9/15. Also have tickets for 9/27 and 9/30, so those all seem like fine days for clinching to me. *knock on wood*
  2. We’re awfully reactionary in here today.
  3. I'm team club level. The seats right behind the plate are nice and cushy though. I know a guy with seats down there and have had access to them once or twice. They're nice.
  4. I didn’t see Black anywhere near the umpires. They’ve checked every pitcher coming into the game.
  5. So, does Webb stay in for the 8th and then Cano for the 9th? Cano pitched last night right? Didn’t he pitch the night before too? or wait. Did Fuji take two last night with Cano getting the night off?
  6. When he ran to third on the throw the outfield. It definitely looked like he pulled up approaching third and was hobbling a bit.
  7. I called that here from 244. Told the guy next to me they were going to win the challenge on a blocking violation because he stood in front of the plate without the ball. He said, “in real life, he’s out.” I said, “this isn’t real life, it’s baseball.”
  8. I would agree. He actually said a higher percentage of one-run wins, which would suggest that a greater percentage of total wins are by one run, which also can't be true if we have more total wins but fewer wins by one run than other teams.
  9. How is that possible if there are teams with fewer total wins than we do that have more one run wins that we do?
  10. Like two weeks ago, wasn't half the forum freaked out about how Cano had lost it and sucked?
  11. In fairness, I'd have hard time naming the last 10 World Series winners without Google. And why do I keep getting a window for apartments.com opening whenever I click the quote button?
  12. Hard to know whether he fell back into that pattern or if it’s something else. The host was indicating that there was something Bautista was doing that told the hitters to layoff and not swing.
  13. Not sure if anyone else heard this, but they were talking on The Leadoff Spot this morning on MLB Network Radio, and they indicated that Bautista is tipping his pitches. I’m not sure who was speaking (Eduardo Perez maybe?), but he seemed to indicate he knew what it was but that he wasn’t going to say because he thought it was on other teams to figure out what it is.
  14. I get what he wants to do. And entertainment District around the parks would be fantastic. But the fact is, the land isn’t there, the rail tunnel is problematic, and I suspect he’s being greedy about how it’s all paid for, and the revenues are divided.
  15. You mean because her takeaway is pretty much the exact opposite of what it means?
  16. Got an email from Bowie that Cedric will be playing there today and tomorrow.
  17. I was at the game. It looked to me like he threw it right to Westburg who seemed to have his back (or more accurately, his left side perhaps) toward the throw and didn’t realize the throw was coming toward him and thus moved away from the throw. I was in the club level in line with home plate along the third base line, so I think my view was pretty accurate.
  18. That was something. Kids first hit (of the year? Ever?) was a triple? Double and an error?
  19. I’m pretty sure you need a pitcher to replace the guy you pull. I don’t think anyone was warming after the fifth with Kremer cruising. He walked the first guy. Maybe you get someone up. By the time someone is ready, you’re pretty much in the soup. Also, two of those pitches to Alvarez were pretty damn close to the bottom of the zone. They weren’t wild. The other two were.
  20. Didn’t this board used to have a rule that banned people for declaring a game over? I miss those days.
