He had a nice year last year but obviously he didn’t have much trade value with his arbitration raise. He’s predictably not playing well this year. Apparently Toronto didn’t get the memo and gave up an actual prospect for 20 games of him. Miami made out very well.

Elias doesn’t look great in this scenario but no one looks worse than Toronto.

It’s pretty amazing how bad Dan’s trades were here. Didn’t he trade for Pedro twice? Where’s our Pedro, Dan?

If Lowther can become Ryan Yarbrough then we’d regret it. Then again, we don’t exactly develop pitching quite as well as the Rays.

I love how the lowest OPS of Ted Williams’ career was 1.019 except the random year when it was .791. Well, he was 40 years old, but it’s still a huge outlier. Then he OPS’d 1.096 at age 41.

Wasn’t he considered an elite fielder who couldn’t hit at all when we acquired him? Funny how inaccurate that was. Although I’m not complaining.

Something tells me his .469 OBP won’t hold up. I am happy that he’s been taking some walks, though.
