Their bullpen is 3rd in fWAR and 4th in WPA and that was before today’s game. They have possibly the best reliever in baseball on the back end and a plethora of impressive guys like Erceg, Adams, Muller and Spence. It’s a really good pen. I agree with your other point.

The A’s have an elite bullpen. They’re going to surprise some people this year.

Hopefully this is Basallo getting back on track. Let’s not forget that he’s a 19 year old, coming off an injury, in AA.

I don’t want to hear people talk about how “our bullpen has actually been good” anymore after seeing what the poverty A’s are throwing out there.

I think that’s just how he is judging by how the A’s crew was talking about him.

The A’s have some really nasty guys out of the pen.

Who starts Game 1 of a playoff series? Suarez or Irvin?

The bullpen should have a lower ERA than the starters. Last year starters had a 4.45 ERA league wide and reliever had a 4.17 ERA.

I’d let Irvin go 8 but seems like he’s done.
