  1. I think all teams are going to be wearing hats like these this weekend.
  2. Random trivia...looks like Toronto hit back to back to back triples in 2011. https://www.baseball-reference.com/blog/archives/11427.html
  3. I don't know, I have more confidence/feeling that Mayo is going to be a bigger contributor than Holliday this year.
  4. In today's game, that would play well as you said.
  5. Crushed this HR...
  6. No harm done, but I'm pretty sure the kid in the black shirt reached over and the ball hit his hand at the 0:28 sec mark. https://www.mlb.com/video/adley-rutschman-homers-9-on-a-fly-ball-to-right-field-jordan-westburg-sco?t=walk-offs
  7. Looked like it hit right off the top of the green padding right at the base of the black fence/railing...if that makes sense.
  8. Take the win and move on. forget about everything else.
  9. Blue Jays message board should be good reading...lol.
  10. Either way, hate bunting there, especially with 2 strikes.
  11. He's safe, but who knows if this gets overturned.
  12. The whole team must have gone to see Miss Davis dance last night.
  13. Another interesting article I happened to see quoting Justin Verlander about starting pitchers. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/astros-justin-verlander-calls-out-analytics-for-starting-pitcher-epidemic/ar-BB1mo0C8?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=74d48a853a094bea9a08fc2c218057b6&ei=25
  14. Several articles referenced on here lately have offered up that the difference in talent level between AAA and MLB is not small, and that MLB is for the "big dawgs". I think we have seen that with how some of our prospects have struggled, and it has definitely changed my mind in thinking that all of our top MiL guys are going to be superstars. I'm not going to say who I think will or will not live up to some of our expectations, but I have definitely tempered my enthusiasm for some.
  15. During tonights game there was a lot of complaining about our hitting in the game thread, and my first reaction was to generally agree with that sentiment. But then I remembered that we were leading (or close to it) the league in offense, so I almost posted that hitting was tough for all teams. I just saw this article and generally agree that hitting at the MLB level nowadays is probably as difficult as it has ever been. https://www.si.com/mlb/pitching-evolution-made-hitting-nearly-impossible
  16. I usually take things in stride but this game sucked.
