  1. Failed hit and run? That was not smart base running. At. All.
  2. Sulser! Could be a huge steal...
  3. Hanser AllStarBerto??
  4. Talent is definitely there, just needs experience. Growing pains are expected.
  5. It’s a broken record, but Davis kills this team. I bet anyone else in that spot would’ve at least put the darn ball in play.
  6. Not really. Couldn’t catch up to 91. Then watched 2 meatballs down the pipe.
  7. Well, I mean, if presented with a choice?
  8. Meh. I’d take Perlman over her
  9. That 3B coach should be sent home. Gotta send a speedy guy like Hays home with their ace on the mound. Got to.
  10. Hays could’ve scored. That’ll hurt.
  11. You can argue that this is more of a cost-cutting period than a rebuild. I think people just need to adjust their expectations. 3-4 years is not realistic in this case. 2025 is when I think we may start seeing a bit of an uptick. The question, though, is can it go that long?
  12. This Yankee team will likely win 45-50 games. I like that we fought hard tonight.
  13. He wasn’t supposed to be the closer. Harvey was. I think Castro, Blier, Sulser, Givens, and Harvey will make a solid bullpen core eventually.
  14. I maintain that Sulser was a good pick-up. I chalk this up to nerves.
  15. Glad they found the new Jim Hunter in Big Ben
  16. Well, I don’t expect him to start guys’ clocks early. Plus, not many of our prospects are his. I get the feeling his objective is to gut the team down to as little payroll as possible and he will be re-evaluated once Davis’ contract is up.
  17. Other than pitching and offense, we look alright
  18. Only 59 more of these after tonight..?
  19. I’m thinking most folks are still hung up on Arrieta. But, I agree about change of scenery. It’s just that Yaz was never given a chance here. That would be on the previous regime more than the current one, I suppose.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it was Elias who shipped him out, right? He is 3-3 so far tonight and coming off a breakout season. I hope this move doesn’t become J.D. Martinez part 2 (those who read Astroball will get the reference).
  21. Harvey being out really stinks. I was looking for him to be a breakout closer. So, I’ll amend my pick to 21 wins instead of 23?
  22. What are you talking about?? Didn’t you see him mash that glorified high school pitching in spring training???
  23. I think 20 sounds about right. But, I’ll let my hair down and predict 23 wins. Bullpen, Hays, Santander, Iglesias are all bright spots. Starting pitching is, unsurprisingly, a dumpster fire. Davis is....well, Davis.
