He’s not going anywhere. This ownership (I understand the sons seem to be doing things differently) will not pay a guy to play for someone else. Honestly, are there any past examples of them letting someone go who was still under contract? I am sure there are a few, but under a contract of magnitude? As I recall, wasn’t a Ubaldo trade in 2016 held up over $1 million that the Blue Jays would not pay?
