  1. Continuing to say and do all the right things. "Massive rebuild" is music to my ears. Can't do the whole "retool" or not go all in when rebuilding. Gotta do it the Astros way.
  2. Man, I knew it needed to be done and am happy we're rebuilding but it's still difficult to see this.
  3. I think Kremer is going to shock a lot of people as others have said. He may not be a TOR, but man is he really breaking out in a big way this year. You can't keep telling me he's destined for the back of a bullpen with his k rate, stuff, and command.
  4. Got moved to AA in his last start and went 7 IP, 0 ER, 11 K's.
  5. You do realize it's been months since that prospect ranking came out, right? He's #31 on BP.
  6. Good catch, just noticed that. Impressive nonethesless. Still getting viewed as a future pen arm but we'll see. If so, looks like he'd be pretty damn solid out of there.
  7. Kremer's #'s in AA are eye popping. 54 IP, 1.98 ERA, 18 BB's, 81 K's. Last outing: 7 IP, 0 ER, 11 K's.
  8. So, according to Ken Rosenthal the return doesn't include Alvarez.
  9. Officially official. Great get in Yusniel. Alvarez has ace potential but his control needs serious work and may cause him to be a late inning pen arm, Bannon looks like a real intriguing bat. Like the deal. Really hope we can work with Alvarez a bit because if we could help him with his control than he could end up being the biggest piece here. Banuelos likely isn't much but it's promising to look at his stat lines in AAA.

Miguel Castro was thought of as a guy that could be in the rotation in both TOR and COL at one point. Not sure why they switched course but I don't blame them. He's still 21/22 yrs old.
  11. I have a lot of hope in this guy. Was a big fan when he was a top prospect in Jays system. Seems like he's gotten rushed for the most part. and still holding his own.
  12. I'm pretty damn excited about this then. This guy was viewed as a future high end backend BP arm and is sooo young. Even if he doesn't work out this is a tremendous value pickup by DD. Really like what DD has done with the lack of farm system we have with Santander and now Castro. Both of these guys can be players for us for the long haul if they reach their potential.
  13. A former top prospect who throws big time heat at age 22 that likely isn't far off when we lack much of a farm? I'm surprised COL let him go even with his struggles. Way too young with too much upside to give up on.
  14. Yeah, this guy was a top prospect and highly viewed in Toronto. Was a key piece to that Tulo deal and is still just 22. Am I missing something? Anyone have a good read/scouting report on him now? Even if he struggled in COL (I know he was in majors, and at 22 is quite young). Could be a sneaky good pickup here.
  15. Tough stretches are going to happen. We're in one now, hopefully this was a sign of breaking out of it, but I don't like that we have the Indians next up. Their starting pitching has been great with a solid offense. Going to be a tough series. Just happy we're at home.
