  1. It’s still a beast. It’s just perspectives have changed since we are one of the “beast” teams.
  2. They been doing this. I’ve watched a few of the bullpens and the starters are all hanging around.
  3. Have to assume it’s load management more than anything. I’m looking for clues like - we hope he’s back at the end of the 15 day period.
  4. Actual finance people watch Bloomberg, not CNBC or Fox business
  5. 23k tonight. Against the Yankees but last year didn’t have a night-weekday game above 20k until June 28th (as far as I could see). We played the Red Sox end of April last year and had around 13k. the other thing I’ve noticed is when they say 23k attended. It actually looks like 23k. Not a lot of no-shows this year. People are starting to prioritize attending games. Finally - avg attendance is 24k (prior to tonight). If you ignored the KC - poor weather fiasco we would avg 27,499. That would put total attendance right at 2.23 million.
  6. A one off game in April doesn’t matter. His performance over the course of the season certainly does. odd you found it so uninteresting you were compelled to respond.
  7. Yeah. It’s called baseball. The point is the Orioles are plenty capable of winning games their defacto aces aren’t starting.
  8. Sometimes you just lay an egg. Luckily the team is talented enough that nights like this can be absorbed.
  9. Wild that a Twins series could be up 26% over the Red Sox Series at any point year over year. Imagine telling that to someone 15 years ago.
  10. 18k for an April Tuesday is really good. Numbers like that signal 4K more/game over last year which would put attendance closer to 2.3mm for the year. To get to 2.5 million need to really start seeing 20k+ for midweek games.
  11. The hacks they were taking seemed reminiscent of some of the Blue Jays swings from about 10yrs ago. When we threw down multiple signs without men on base……..
  12. Agreed. Urias isn’t going anywhere until the end of May, but doesn’t mean they don’t adjust his role in the meantime.
  13. Elias has a bit of cover to go ahead with Holliday given Urias is terrible at the plate right now
  14. Hays, Mateo, Urias, and Kemp First - your point that every win matters. It honestly doesn’t. It’s not 1965 when you had to win the pennant outright. The WC has expanded so much it’s diluted the regular season. If they were 3-5? Fine. Holliday will be up shortly. They wanted to get him a couple more AB’s vs lefties. They don’t like having to send high profile guys down if there’s a chance the scuffle. Westberg starting regularly at 3B now. You can see the wheels in motion - and they probably want him to debut at home (although Gunnar didn’t). Kemp will be gone and Urias will be moved to the Kemp role. They want guys like Mayo to play every day. And he’s not a utility guy anyway. Mateo has a role because he can get you a stolen base when necessary. To - ya know - get wins. People can argue the value of that, but Elias likes it. So that means you’d have to be prepared to lose Hays for good with probably not a ton of return. Cutting ties with Hayes at the point in the season is probably a bit risky. Stowers, Kjerstad coming up and performing isn’t a certainty. Remember Cowser scuffled. Stowers has scuffled. Elias is rolling the dice that some sort of injury will happen because it always does and that will unlock the jam.
  15. Im confused. If I give you arguments I’m a clown? Or do you want to keep ranting that no one is giving you a reason?
