    2024 Scott wouldn’t help much if at all. 2023 Scott was one of the elite relievers in the game. If you believe the 2023 version is just waiting to break out after a bad start he makes sense, no matter where he slots in the bullpen.

    They do mean different things. “The call stands” means it was too close to overturn. “The call is confirmed” means they feel the replay clearly supports the call on the field. Joe Adell was safe at 2B. They felt it was too close to overturn and said “The call stands” because it clearly didn’t support the call.

    Irvin stunk for 3 starts and he’s been great for three starts. I don’t think that puts him in the conversation for our best starter the first 5 weeks of the season.

    No. Not happy and it wasn’t stupid. It’s debatable. Also, how do you know Akin didn’t stiffen up a little. I don’t recall the inning but he was flexing his back or side one inning and I was concerned he had hurt himself. It’s stupid to call it stupid. Happy?
