  1. Orioles Hangout is like a box of chocolates.
  2. Apparently not even as sharp as Forrest Gump.
  3. You missed the point of Frobby’s question. He’s simply asking which one would make the best closer. No one, even the people picking Burnes, are suggesting that he would ever be the closer. So, whether Burnes would agree to it or not has got nothing to do with it.
  4. Fake. Frobby isn’t suggesting any of these guys will or should be the closer. Real. Which one of the 8 is best equipped to be a closer. Simple.
  5. You’ve got it all backwards but that’s ok.
  6. What rules? The OP is simple and straightforward. Which starter do you think would make the best closer? You can argue about which one that is and why. What defies common sense is when someone argues that Burnes wouldn’t agree to it or that we can’t afford to lose a pitcher from the rotation. One thing you got right is that it’s make believe. Apparently some people are incapable. If you’re upset that a couple people pointed out that Burnes first inning problems this year don’t necessarily make him a bad potential closer, oh well.
  7. You’re out of compliance with common sense.
  8. I have a feeling it’s not permanent but we’ll see. He didn’t have good command last year as a starter but they promoted him anyway. Maybe the bullpen for now just to ease him into this level.
  9. The question has nothing to do with who would become the closer, who the team would move to closer, which pitcher would accept the switch. Nada.
  10. This poll is kind of dumb but it’s not surprising. If I had read the OP first I wouldn’t have voted.
  11. Two counter points. His career starter ERA is 3.04 and his career 1st inning ERA is 3.11 so not sure it won’t even out eventually. Point two. When he’s pitching the first inning he’s not letting it all hang out because he knows he has another 5 or 6 to go.
  12. Ugggh! He didn’t ask who would do well. He asked who would be the best closer.
