  1. It’s really odd. Every year, there are some whipping boys and this year 2 of them, Urias and McKenna, don’t play much..so it’s really odd to even care so much about their role.
  2. Looks like? He was a lock 4 years ago. At this point, he’s just adding to his legacy. What it looks like is that he is heading on a path of being more Griffey Jr than Bonds.
  3. I said 750-799 but that’s not really the range for me. I would be more 725-775.
  4. High Ks, low walks, misses bats (needs to improve on this but still good), doesn’t give up homers and gets a ton of GBs..and young. Maybe he goes up the ladder and makes my take on him look foolish but for me, right now, he’s our best pitching prospect and has a big ceiling. Obviously he’s way below the other 3 in terms of not wanting to trade him. A better way to say it may be that he is the “other guy” I want to trade the least and would do what I can to make sure we keep him.
  5. There are 4 prospects I don’t really want to trade. I can be talked into trading any of them but it would take deals that aren’t likely available…Holliday, Mayo, Basallo and DeLeon. Everyone else is on the table for Miller for me..and that includes Kjerstad although he’s barely a prospect at this point.
  6. Well they are far more of a sure thing. Again, this has been proven through stats and data over the years. And teams draft pitching because you also need pitchers. Im not interested in getting into one of your stupid, semantics driven trolling arguments. Go yell into a mirror and maybe the person looking back at you will be the one person who cares to hear your thoughts.
  7. I never said all the hitters pan out. I said hitters are more of a sure thing and that is factually true.
  8. The lack of understanding w/r/t team building astounds me sometimes. You don’t trade guys who are arguably top 5 hitting prospects for a reliever with a high risk of injury. It’s just non sensical. You know why Elias always drafts hitters? Because they are far more of a sure thing and we are seeing doctors and coaches, etc..talking about how these guys throwing this hard are going to break down because the arm just can’t take it. I would love to add Miller but there is a stopping point on what you give up and Mayo and Basallo are that clear line of stopping. You absolutely, 100% do not even consider making that move.
  9. You don’t trade Mayo for a reliever with his injury profile. It’s an awful idea.
