  1. 6 feet 2 inches, 187 lbs. and throws 100 mph + Surgeons have already reserved a table for him.
  2. A RH power bat to stick somewhere in the 3-4-5 slots. I would see what the Giants might want in a trade for Heliot Ramos. He hit .370 / .439 / .750 against LH pitchers this year, and would look awesome in the middle of all our lefty batters.
  3. Is Brandon Hyde going to pull out the “ we just need to do a better job” boilerplate or is he coming up with another way to say the same thing? It’s easy to be snarky right now. There’s choking under pressure and there’s whatever the team has done over the last couple months. “Choke” doesn’t begin to cover the gag they threw up the last two nights when the season was on the line. Fans leaving the stadium right now aren’t just disappointed, many of them feel betrayed. Hard to blame them. I wonder if Elias might feel the same way.
  4. Another LH coming in to face us in the 8th.
  5. Perez has been a disaster lately. Not liking this move.
  6. The answer to every Orioles rally is to bring in a LH pitcher. I hate this.
  7. Thanks. How did I forget that one? Also, how in heck did I end up in the Mountcastle thread? This is what happens when try to follow this site in real time from the game.
  8. Here’s something I was thinking about WRT today’s game — when was the last time the Orioles won a “do or die” game? My memory is telling me Game 6 of the ‘71 World Series. That was Frank’s mad dash from first to third on a soft sing yup the middle and then scoring the winning run in the 9th. Has there been another since then?
  9. My first playoff was game 2 of the 1979 ALCS. Afternoon game, not sold out, people were giving their tickets away.
  10. Whoever scores first will win this game. Gonna be 2-0 or thereabouts.
