  1. Todays Fangraphs piece on Adley Rutschman. Article delves into % increase of pitches seen in zone and also higher chase%. Speculates that Adley may perhaps be trading OBP for SLG.
  2. Super encouraged that Bradish stuff looks as nasty as last year. His metrics are even better so far: whiff% 30.4 (vs 25.9 last year), groundball% 59.1 (vs 49.1 last year). As Big Ben mentioned, he has upped usage of 2 seamer in lieu of 4 seamer while rest of offspeed offerings are similar to last season for slider and curveball.
  3. Concur with this 100%. and agree with other posters that she has been excellent pre/post game
  4. Hyder managing like it’s the 7th game of WS
  5. I think they also believe that this keeps the pitchers healthier/more available. Low pitch counts + more frequent usage vs more than 1 inning appearance.
  6. Dang that would have been soft catch by SS if playing normal depth.
  7. On Burnes two worst pitches of the night.
  8. Man missing all these middle fastballs that at least on TV look like meatballs.
  9. Did I read somewhere that the Os starting pitcher picks the unis? Burnes has been in the black city connect quite a bit IIRC.
  10. This feels like a pitcher who flummoxes Mounty, would have preferred ROH at 1B and Kjerstad at DH.
  11. Even tho got 3 Ks in the first, Burnes looks to be struggling with cutter command tonight.
  12. Wtf Melanie “tight zone?” That was clearly a ball. Ump has pretty wide zone on the Ks for Santander and ROH
  13. Agree in preference for Helsley. Would cost more tho but much better and cleaner back end option. Kopech strikes me as bit of high strung head case (which may be perfect for BP but we got like one month of data as reliever on him).
  14. Miscounted earlier…one off day in June on 6/17.
