  1. I know Elias says the mountain isn’t pitching this year but it sure would be nice to get both of these guys back for the playoffs.
  2. With as reactionary as this group can be I am surprised no votes for Povich in the last 8 hours.
  3. Per Kosta Hyde said he is still on track to return before the end of the regular season
  4. This has nothing to do with people on this site being Rogers fans. This is about the success Elias and the developmental team have had in acquiring pitchers and working with and improving them. Give these guys a chance to work with Rogers and see what they can do with him before calling this a bad trade. Kyle Bradish was not a TOR starter or even top 100 prospect when he was traded for.
  5. @FrobbyI love this thread idea. I missed most of the game last night due to late start but wanted to check OH this morning to see what people who watched the game thought. As I opened my browser my initial thought was, "is it worth it, I am sure it's going to be all doom and gloom". When a team has had the success the Orioles have over the past couple season expectations get very high and nothing but a win becomes good enough. Baseball is a long season and sometimes a silver lining (bullpen turning it around) can mean more to the season than a particular win or loss.
  6. Same, but we can all agree it could of been done in the Dodgers series thread, right?
  7. I fell a sleep around the 5th up 3-2, was pumped to wake up and see that score held and we got the W. I thought for sure there would be several more runs scored the way that game was going. If we can get a big Burnes start and a W tonight that locks up a series win and and a nice upcoming stretch of winnable series even with our injuries.
  8. He spent at the deadline. Eflin added payroll to this years payroll as well as an additional 18M next year which is more than Burnes made this year. Who was the last Oriole pitcher to make 18M a season? I am not saying the O's are now going to start spending like the Dodgers, but saying we don't know if payroll is going to increase under Rubenstein doesn't make any sense to me.
  9. I am interested to see who is available via waivers in the next few days. I think Michael A Taylor would make a lot of sense for Elias to sign if he becomes available to us. Elias has always valued CF defense and Taylor is one of the best. Signing Taylor would allow Mullins to take a little more time to heal the recent injury and would also give us a RH CF to start against LHP down the stretch into the playoffs. I like the idea of Taylor in CF and Cowser in LF vs Cowser in CF and Slater in LF vs LHP. I can also see Elias bringing in another pitcher off waivers if one becomes available. I think there are a lot of unknowns with the injuries to really have any idea what the playoff roster will look like as of today.
  10. Taylor was placed on waivers and is owed 790k for the remainder of the season. With Mullins battling injuries Taylor might make sense to sign. When Mullins comes back they could platoon. Thoughts?
