  1. Maybe, but like every game down there, the Tides had the vast majority of the 100 MPH EVs. They 8 of the 11 100 MPH EVs and of course, Kjerstad, Mayo, Holliday and Stowers all were once again on the list.
  2. Kjerstad's start to this season is exactly why I wanted O'Hearn moved this offseason. Not only is Kjerstad potentially an impact bat at DH/RF/and fill in 1B (He's been better but not great at 1B in Norfolk) he's a better defender in RF than O'Hearn. Either way, I'm hoping the Orioles make room for him soon.
  3. His fielding at 2B early on certainly shows he needs more experience there. Besides the ones you mentioned from last night, there's also been some poor throwing accuracy at times, and his tagging is not great. He also seems to lose focus at times defensively and as you pointed out, he's out of position or just hasn't covered the base at times when he should have. As much as I do think he was sent down because of service time, he does need to work on improving his defense. He has shown the range and hands to be a very good second baseman, so I don't see anything that won't improve with experience.
  4. Have to watch him more this season to see if he's done anything different. Great arm, very little command and gets hit harder than a guy who can touch 100 should. I pay attention to him though to see if there's anything different this season due to the arm strength.
  5. His call made me bust out laughing.. It was something like, "And here's Coby Mayo AND THERE'S A HOME RUN!"
  6. The fact that they claimed it only went 408 feet means they need to recalibrate the Hawk-Eye cameras there. No way that was "only" 408 feet.
  7. Sometimes a wonder about the estimated distance in minor league home runs. I've noticed on many occasions where the distance seemed short.
  8. It was "only" 406 feet and 106.6 MPH off the bat.
  9. Lol... The announcer just cracked me up on that Mayo home run. Mid sentence.... he was like, "That's a home run" like a half second after he hit it.
  10. And just as I say that he turns a nice DP, and then make a nice lunging play on a line drive.
  11. He has not impressed me at all defensively at 2B so far this year.
  12. 88 pitches to get through 3.1 innings is not going to cut it no doubt. Really tough outing for McDermott tonight.
  13. Just two starts, but it's starting to look like McDermott is going to be who he is going to be. He's a guy with a starter's repertoire by reliever command.
  14. Looks like they would have won it if it was challenged.
  15. 100% Holliday needs to catch that perfect one-hopper.
  16. Ha, I looked at statcast before making my comment! It had more movement then his previous ones and was low and away in the zone. So nope, you be wrong!
  17. That double by Perez was actually on a pretty good low and away slider. Good piece of hitting by him.
  18. May not have been warmed up fully for that first batter, because he looked much the rest of the inning.
