Well, I do have a better feeling against this bullpen then I did against the starter.
3,4,5 coming up, but not exactly a murderer's row of Mountcastle, Santander and Westburg.
No way anyone can be upset for Adley for running there. It was going to take a highlight reel, insane throw to get him and that's exactly what Renfroe did. I mean trust me, if I thought it was a bad choice I'd say so.
Good Lord, that was absolutely an utterly insane throw by Hunter Renfroe. He literally didn't even look and threw an absolute strike to second base.
Can't even get mad at Rutschman there. That absolutely is a double 99.99% of the time.
The one thing that Gary Thorne always knew was when to yuck it up and when to bring it down a bit. Kevin never really has gotten that feel.
I mean he's still yucking it up over Mr. Splash. I mean seriously, how is that still a thing in April?
Hays is obviously pressing at this point. He had a crap spring training and is now off to a cold start to the season. He knows that Cowser, Norby and Kjerstad all play his position. He's not dumb.
The weather being crappy and the fact we haven't seen the sun here for what seems like 18 years is not helping my mood either!
You obviously would hope for a 4-2 start after seeing the schedule, but it is what it is at this point. It doesn't help that the prospects the Orioles sent down are all pretty red hot in AAA. I mean, I get why they were sent back, but it doesn't make it easier.
Did you expect them to suck after starting off 2-0? Did you expect them to lead like one inning in the last 4 games? Are you watching these games?
Of course none of this really is any indication of where this team will end up in October, but it's frustrating as hell watching the team have no approach four games in a row with no changes... Well up until this inning, not surprisingly started by Adley.
