So if my numbers are correct, the Orioles went over their draft money by $87,452 but my math could be off.- 109 replies

Perhaps you missed my post in his thread, but the statcast data does not suggest a tired arm or a change on his arm angle. I know Ben keeps saying it, but it's not true if the data is to be believed. Batters have adjusted to his stuff and he can't live in the middle of the plate like he was able to a bit earlier in the year when he was getting swing and miss in the middle of the plate. Cano is going to need to make better located pitches.

I was talking about this game, not about his entire year. Mateo's inability make a fairly routine play and Cano inability to stop his pitches from getting barrelled up caused them to blow a one run lead and lose the game. This is also the game thread where emotional reactions are allowed and not "analyzed." You honestly, I could care less how you feel and if you hate being here so much, leave. I have zero time dealing with people like yourself who find any kind of criticism as hatred towards a player. So the next time you decide to come after me with your BS, know what thread you are in.

Trying to win two one run games without Bautista is pretty impossible with this bullpen. Cano is done as a closer/8th inning guy. They've figured him out. He can stop posing like he's some dominant weapon when batters are teeing off on him. Embrrassing. As for Mateo, something needs to be done. Trade him for a c-level prospect and move on.

The reason you push Gunnar back to 3B is because Ortiz is the more consistent SS and Gunnar will be a plus a defensive 3B as well. With those two on the left side, that's a lot of range. The best infield we can put on the field right now in my opinion is Henderson-3B, Ortiz-SS, and Westburg at 2B with Urias as the utility guy. Saying that, I'm ok with Henderson at SS right now and if they traded Ortiz, I'd be ok going forward as the team's SS. Henderson is a big guy, but he's very athletic and clearly the arm is pretty special. The issue with Gunnar defensively has always been throwing accuracy at times but most of these guys with big arms have that on occasion.

It's an interesting conversation. I think they may bring him up on August 31st to make him eligible for the playoffs. If he looks good right away or if there is an injury, he'll then be able to get a roster spot. Since he will need to be protected this offseason anyways, there's no real reason not to add him for the September push if he's still hitting this well.

Huge night for Kremer. He absolutely deserved the win, but he did exactly what he needed to do with a short bullpen.
