  1. You have to consider sending your lefty to the minors after he walks McKenna! lol
  2. Mateo is really hitting the ball hard consistently. Good to see.
  3. Need to get to that pen as soon as possible. Cease is not on his A-game so a nice 20-pitch inning could end his day. I'm ok going into that bullpen down by just a run with four innings to go.
  4. Now THAT's the changeup he had preinjury.
  5. Mr. Andrus is about to get a changeup.
  6. Very, very nice play at 3B by Gunnar there.
  7. I'd like to know why his 1st innings are so bad? He may need to adjust his routine.
  8. I'm sure that ball was wet. Tough throw.
  9. Case was a 6th round pick who was never a top 100 prospect. The expectations are different. I'm not "freaking out" over Rodriguez, but I am disappointed in his start to his big league career. The talent is there. He needs a shutdown inning here after the Orioles put three.
  10. Rutschman is basically going to be walked here.
  11. Heck yeah, Cedric. That's the way to make them pay for that error.
  12. He should be mad, he crapped the bed once again in the first inning of a game.
  13. Watching the amount of poor first innings from our starters as well how many inherited runners have scored, makes me wonder if this coaching staff gets their pitchers ready correctly.
  14. Tampa signs their young talent long term and has been great and developing or acquiring talent players to surround their core. They are not risk adverse like Elias is. Elias and Hyde are very comfortable as they are given "who know how long contracts" from an owner who is very comfortable just making money.
  15. Glavine was 22-year old and pitched to a 3.80 FIP when he went "7-17" on a bad Atlanta team. They are not the same.
  16. Gotta get Cease out of the game. The orioles have very little chance against him. This is what an ace looks like. I'm not sure Elias understand what they look like and the importance of having that guy. Also, not sure he understands how hard it is to acquire them once teams have one. People aren't going to trade you a young TOR for your positionally challenged extra hitting prospects.
  17. We clearly do not draft, evaluate and develop pitching like they do.
  18. I still think these lapses in judgement are a product of having no accountability. When their big lovable Hyder is patting them on the back, making excuses in the press, and never pulling a guy from a game or not starting them the next day after these mental lapses just creates an environment where young players feel very comfortable. I want players thinking there is always someone ready to take my opinion and mental errors is a great way to give them that chance.
