  1. BTW, I purposely stayed out of the game thread until two outs in the 9th. Needed to switch things up. You're welcome! lol
  2. I think Hyde wanted to get Bautista back out there in a save situation after what happened.
  3. I definitely think Wells pitching in relief in 2021 helped him get ready quick. Excellent job by that young man.
  4. Gotta love baseball. Pitching was awful in Boston, then we lose Bradish, and they still end up 1-hitting a good hitting Texas team. Baseball!
  5. 7-pitch save... 1-hitter against Texas. Wells comes up big..
  6. Doesn't look like Bautista will need a defense! lol
  7. Lol... My worse nightmare to start the year. The Orioles pitching sucks, Frazier hits the ball well (so people will play the I told you so after his first two games), and Stowers doesn't start, then gets his only PA late in the game and strikes out on three pitches. Oh, add in that I lost over 90% of my revenue to start this year and man, this is FRICKN' awesome. Three games in and I need to take a break. Bring on the minor leagues!!!
  8. Yeah, that's why I just didn't say the pitching. The defense in this series has to one of the worse defensive displays over a three-game series that I can remember.
  9. I guess there is something to consistency. lol
  10. That's Baumann's M.O. He just doesn't throw enough quality strikes and when he misses, they seem to be uncompetitive or middle-middle.
  11. So let me see, the Orioles pitching and defense has allowed how many runs now in three games?
  12. Hit his glove, Frazier has to catch that even if he comes off the bag.
  13. The 1st two once the Orioles got big leads? The Orioles better keep hitting because this pen is awful. Losing Tate and Givens was worse than we thought, but honestly, Hyde tends to use everyone for an inning here and there instead of having someone try and eat three innings and fully resting a guy. Gotta give the Red Sox some credit though. They went out and spent and got some more impact talent.. Elias said it was "lift off" then basically stood pat. Now whether that was because he got a budget that made him do that, or his risk aversion, but it's clear what team improved more this offseason.
  14. Lol, walked the guy before Devers to load the bases. Just no command.
  15. Man, we'll always have that pre-injury Bowie Baumann. He was quite the prospect.
  16. This bullpen may set a record for most inherited runners scored.
  17. This impending loss would not feel so bad had McKenna made that catch yesterday. Going into Boston and taking 2 out of 3 would have been nice. Amazing how one simple play changes the whole dynamic of the series.
  18. Umpire was like, that sounded like a strike. He's awful.
  19. There's the Mountcastle we know. Trying to pull an outside pitch. Good Lord son, learn how to cover the outside part of the plate.
  20. Better environment overall. Fenway is never a good matchup for a lefty. The Red Sox have some pretty good right-handed hitters too.
  21. Eh, wild pitched the guys to scoring position and then couldn't miss a bat. I would not call that a successful bullpen outing. This team seems to be intent on allowing all of their inherited runners to score this year.
  22. In a way because it went off his glove. Saying that, when an infielder is camped under it, you don't call him off. That was Vavra's inexperience in LF. Thank God he's out there because there certainly wasn't another roster option with a lot more experience out there.
  23. This team is a clown show defensively.. Thank God Stowers is on the bench because he sucks on defense supposedly.
