  1. Is it just me or is Kevin Brown doing everything he can to jinx this?
  2. Well, Mountcastle was swinging through some middle-up fastballs but he's always been a good inside fastball hitter.
  3. And my negative comment worked didn't it? 4-runs right after posting. I got skillz.
  4. Why any pitcher tries to throw fastballs inside to Mountcastle is beyond me, but I'll take it.
  5. What did I say? Rutschman is too smart to let three of them go by,
  6. I'm not sure Rutschman allows another backdoor slider after King on one and watching the first pitch.
  7. When did decide you wanted to be a jerk to me tonight? About the 3rd inning? I'm just saying it's obvious to anyone with a any baseball sense that the Blue Jays are a much better team than the Orioles. Look up and down their lineup and compare it to ours. Hell, even their 4-foot-2, 320 pound catcher has the same OPS as Rutschman. Its ok, they were supposed to be better than us this year and they are. Is this game over, no. With the Orioles offense of late and short bullpen, are they likely to come back, no, not really. After this game they will be 5 1/2 games back of the final wild card. Time to focus on the young guys.
  8. Yeah, I don't think anyone should be upset, this has been a fun year, but time for Elias to have Hyde play the young guys as priority play from here on out.
  9. Fatty can just hit, no doubt about it. Sucks to get beat by a guy with a beer league softball body, but that's what he does. Bradish doesn't have much tonight unfortunately.
  10. It don't think it's effort, he's just real slow now. He probably should be playing DH with Stowers in RF, but Stowers is not a lot better speed wise and his jumps have not been very good so far early in his MLB career.
  11. It's been a fun ride, but I do think we are seeing reality stepping up in the name of the Blue Jays, the team they are chasing. Time to start playing Stowers everyday and giving Vavra some PAs to see what they can do down the stretch.
  12. Again, a faster right fielder make that catch. Either way though, that fastball was barrelled! That's a two-run homer. Blue Jays are doing what good teams do in playoff races, they turn it on.
  13. What is up with this 3rd inning of Melanie droning on about things that don't really matter?
  14. White looks like he's got his good slider tonight. Guys like Mountcastle and Hays don't probably have much of a chance.
  15. I'll just say it. A better right fielder catches Kirk's ball and Mullins took way to long to come and throw that bal. Can't let a runner as slow as Kirk score on that. Too bad defensive plays cost a run.
  16. I don't know if using one year old stats is logic, but it's a decent opinion. I don't put a lot of weight into who he used to be, just who he is now. He's guy that has done nothing all year, has been on the decline since his big year in 2018, and provides nothing but the hope that he'll somehow hit a few dingers late in the year.
