  1. Yikes that is a terribly written piece. "With her husband out of work, Georgia tapped her older son, John, to lead the team, according to her lawyers. They blamed Peter for some of the team’s past failures." Peter was out of work? "They" blamed Peter ... who are they? The Lawyers, the press? Good Lord I'm not fan of the The Sun, but I can't believe an editor let this piece be published.
  2. Say what you want about Odor the players at this stage in his career, and you may be right, but he has to be one of the best all-time teammate locker-room guys. Would love to see them bring him back as a coach next year.
  3. Basallo has the most potential in the system for becoming an impact power bat at the major leagues level. Just for context, Gunnar Henderson was basically about the same age (roughly about a month and two weeks older than Basallo), Here's what they did: Name BB% K% ISO BABIP AVG OBP SLG wOBA wRC+ Basallo 8.3% 20.6% .146 .322 .278 .350 .424 .369 116 Henderson 9.1% 23.1% .111 .338 .259 .331 .370 .338 103 Now I'm not here to tell you that Basallo is on a Henderson trajectory or not, but I will say he outperformed Gunnar at the same level and at basically the same age in every category except BB% where he was just .8% less. He even was a bit less "lucky" than Gunnar with a lesser BABIP. Now Gunnar lost his 19 year old season due to COVID but did get PAs at the Bowie camp that may have helped him get off to such a good start with Delmarva during his 20 year old year. Basallo will definitely start 2023 in Delmarva and if he starts to put up number there very quickly, he could shoot into being a top 10 prospect in the system. Right now for me (before my deep dive) he's just on the outside on the top 10 because he's so far away and hasn't been challenged yet with full season ball, but he's got a chance to be very special.
  4. If Bautista throws the changeup he's going to swing at it three times.
  5. With all that delay and a four run lead, do you bring Bautista back out?
  6. Brown has so many good little quips. If the Orioles let him get away without signing him to a longterm contract to be the everyday TV announcer Orioles fans should get their pitchforks!
  7. Call me surprised. He was blocking the plate a bit when he caught the ball he was not. Weird call, but I'll take it.
  8. He's just so good. His swing decisions 95% of the time are 80 level.
  9. Yikes on that swing by Rutschman. Betcha he works it back to 3-2.
  10. Made no sense to try and stretch that and then he swim slides in and get in. Baseball is Amazing.

  12. He had to do that because he did it to Toronto's pitcher, but yeah, no one is throwing at anyone in this situaiton.
  13. Only MASN was put their own stupid music over Bautista's walk in music.
  14. I'd like to see Baker try and get an out or two. But i don't think they're sending him back out there after how that inning ended.
  15. Agreed, Hyde should have gotten tossed on the Mountcastle call.
  16. Ah, no harm no foul. Let the boys play. I like a little rivalry.
  17. Mateo needs to leave those Blue Jays alone. Let them get themselves thrown out.
