  1. Again, my preference would be for a pitcher here, but it's pretty obvious that Elias is not changing his approach. Kind of the opposite hitter to Honeycutt, with a great hit tool, but not a ton of power. Not excited to see reports that he may need to move to 2B which tells me the arm is a little short, but we'll have to see once he gets into the system. I initially thought this was a money saver, but the read ups suggest this is not an overdraft so I expect him to take slot to sign. Let's be honest, there are not a lot of real SS prospects in the system right now that aren't in A-ball or lower. If he can stick at SS, he seems like he's got utility guy floor with the chance to be an everyday guy of he's able to develop a little pop.
  2. From what I've read this was a poor draft class and the fact that the 4th overall pick was a power hitter with questionable 1b skills and the first overall pick was a second baseman kind of confirms this. Honeycutt is certainly a high risk high reward guy with power and speed, good defense, but questionable contact skills. I can't lie, his K rate concerns me against sub par college pitching. Now would have I preferred a pitcher with some upside here, absolutely, but it's pretty clear the Orioles still don't want to invest their top draft capita into pitching.
  3. @86this Will be creating draft pages for each selection. Please remember to post information and comments in the player's page. Thanks once again to @86this to pitching in once again to help out our community.
  4. Trust me, I agree. I had no place to vent either!!!
  5. I'm very aware of these 403 errors. I'm doing everything I can to get it solved. Trust me, I'm very frustrated and hope they will get things resolved soon. I've turned off all ads to try and solve this. My apologies.
  6. This last week can only end with Kmbrel blowing this one-run save after the Orioles once again are embarrassingly awful at the plate.
  7. I watch Mayo hit 400+ homers all the time. Where are Mountcastle's bombs? He needs to stop crying about the wall and be a real power hitter and hit it over the damn thing.
  8. So weird, runner at 3rd with one out and can't score. So unlike that awful approach offensive team.
  9. Just another terrible approach by an Orioles hitter. When is Elias going to make some changes or have them change the approach they are employing?
  10. Terrible job by Westburg once again. Westburg is an all-star player like Ty Wigginton was a All-Star.
  11. Westburg has to come through here.
  12. These Roku time wasters like the Bees are terrible.
  13. Well he ran hard when he got to 1st base. He's very, very slow.
  14. What an awful call by the announcer.
  15. Adley has decided to swing for the fences now on most swings. Someone has given him some information that his damage rate is actually better despite the lower OBP by just swinging for the fences. In fact, I think they all have been given this info. Now pitchers are changing how they pitch them and we're seeing all these swings and misses and rare opposite base hits unless they get fisted and late. It's a terrible approach. It's not fun to watch when it's not working. What happened to working the pitchers? What happened to taking what the pitchers give you? They have two hitting coaches who are data driven but have no experience fixing swings really and they are giving the team the wrong approach in my opinion. 16. That's all they can score on for awhile now. I get slumps, but it's clear this team has an approach problem.
  17. Might be better to see if Cano can go since he didn't throw a lot of pitches.
  18. We can only hop because expecting this team to score more than 3 runs is futile.
  19. Apparently we found a cow suit wearer. I just said I don't get it, which I don't. I've never been a dress up like something kind of fan. I don't go to the game to be seen or to get on TV. I dress in Orioles great and root on my team. Feel free to fan your way, just not for me.
  20. Nice outing by Perez despite the "single" that Mountcastle should have been given an error on.
  21. Not going to disagree at all. I never got all the cow suit thing anyway. Some fans just need to be seen I guess.
  22. Dressing up like a Cow in support of a player who has not been very good for a pretty longtime, in 99 degree weather is pretty, wel...ummm. Dedicated? Nutty also comes to mind.
  23. Now let's get back to why we are really upset. One run by this team in what, 32 innings?
  24. Holmes clearly is not trying to hit Kjerstad and certainly not in the head. It's raining. Nice to see Hyde's fire though.
