  1. Scott, Wiggens and Ayala are role players in a top program. Stix and Cowan were good no doubt, but what did he win with this "talent?" Part of a Big -10 championship that he team melted down in the end to "earn" and unable to get past the second round of the tourney?
  2. Yes, the AI will make trades between teams, waive and release players, sign free agents and do general organizational moves depending on whether they are rebuilding, competing or building a dynasty. I will put up the over standings and some league leaders if interested. As for Mountcastle, I plan to bring him up when he would have been eligible which should be very soon. Do you know that exact date he would be able to come up an the Orioles would still have the extra year of controllability?
  3. No doubt. Starting with the Mitchell twins, who by the way looked awful when they actually played, He's bringing in mediocre talent and can't even keep them, especially with his penchant for always going with a 6 or 7 man rotation.
  4. Not sure honestly. I don't mess with the other teams at all. I let the AI do everything, moves and all for them.
  5. About the only good thing that happened in the organization today was Austin Hays homered in his return to action and in the low minors, Zach Watson and Kyle Stowers had nice nights. https://www.orioleshangout.com/2020/04/20/orioles-swept-by-royals-2/
  6. Yeah, I wish there was a way to do the games live. The graphics on OOTP21 have improve but they have a long way to go to get to console or even MLB phone game level.
  7. I typically make up the quotes though sometimes I take them out of the game recap OOTP supplies after the games.
  8. Funny you said that because I had never heard of him before this sim and I was like, "Now that's a baseball name."... Unlike Hayden Penn...

  10. I haven't found out the exact date I can bring him up yet. I have him playing LF and 1st base in Norfolk.
  11. Hey, I'm just glad someone cares enough to follow them! haha I guess we had to imagine that an offense that lost Mancini and Villar and didn't really add anyone was going to struggle. Hays has been a pleasant surprise and he'll be back early next week. I'm trying to find out the exact time Mountcastle can come up and will promote him and see how things go. Not sure, but I may release Davis when that happens, but trying to be as realistic as possible.

  14. Well at least one of you still cares! Hays has been fantastic and I've moved him to the number three spot due to his power surge. The sim says he's minimally hurt so i could use him, but won't until he's 100% so I don't risk further injury. I think that means Monday or Tuesday he'll be back in the lineup but I might use him if there a pinch hitting situation that comes up in a key part of the game, ala Kirk Gibson in the '88 series! I was waiting for the other show to drop with Cobb as well and was actively trying to trade him before he imploded. But alas, the computer is smart enough not to take an overpaid, fragile starter coming off three good starts. This should give us a look at Kohl Stewart as a starter for a bit until the AAA guys get at least 4-5 starts under their belts and i can decide who looks most ready. Mike Baumann is pitching really well in AA so may move him to AAA after a couple more starts.
  15. This was Turgeon's last shot for along time and maybe ever, and now we'll never know what could have happened with this team. Terps will be after thought next year and for awhile. Selfishly, I hope Turgeon either resigns or is let go but I don't think there is any chance of that coming off this year.
  16. Full report Plus Minor League Sums Cobb to miss at least 3-months... Hays a few days...
  17. Yes, everything is kept for every major and minor league team, including boxscores. I can start putting up where the Orioles are in the standings.
  18. Thanks for the feedback, glad you are enjoying it. It's actually fun for me to do this every night and it gives me that little baseball fix myself. I've never done a season daily like this so it gives me more time to look over the waiver wire, the minor leagues and around the league and look where injury issues could make a trade opportunity happen. I don't know how many people are following but I'm trying to add in as much information as possible. I wish OOTP made it easily to publish pages from the game without screen capture, but it's a bit of a process to get those boxscores in there but I know it adds to the enjoyment and understanding of what has been going on.
  19. Haha. It's actually pretty fun. Every time an injury occurs means more opportunity for someone new. You never know who will step up. And as someone who has never smoked anything in his life, I'm pretty sure heavy drinking would happen first!
  20. It's been a bad run over the last week despite just the one loss. The fact that Cobb's injury is taking so long to diagnose tells me he will be out awhile. I think Hays will be back sooner than later though. Probably no need for a IL trip. Mullins is hitting well in AAA so we'll see if we need to bring him up or let Velazquez and Williams get some extra ABs.
  21. He's been money up until this outing, but he was bad today.
  22. https://www.orioleshangout.com/2020/04/15/bats-break-out-in-11-4-win-over-pirates-2-2-3-2/ Austin Hays comes out of game with a leg injury. no news yet on Cobb.
  23. No results have come back yet so we'll have to wait until at least tomorrow for the results.
  24. Game Report Cobb will under go an MRI tomorrow to see that extend of the shoulder injury. The Orioles are hopeful it's just a strain.
