The bullpen management portion of the game is certainly fun. Trying to navigate through a bullpen without wearing them all out with starters that you are lucky can get through an order three times can be a challenge. That's why I have two long relievers and several middle guys who can extend.

Yesterday was the first time I got annoyed during the sim. Watching the team flail away and strikeout so much was getting frustrating.

So far the funniest thing in doing this simulation was the guy on our Facbeook Group site who was mad at me because the Yankees kept beating the Orioles and told me I should be saying it the other way around. Then there was another guy who told me the simulation was unrealistic and that's why they play the game!

At least it was exciting.

One thing I've noticed is that a lot of plays at the plate are skipped, especially if the runner is out.

In interesting scenario. It also would be interesting to see if they would have resigned Andrew Miller. Maybe I'll run through that when I get a chance.

I'll probably give his spot to either Akin of Stewart. Haven't decided yet. Probably will go with Stewart and give Akin a couple of start in AAA at least.

I have seen pitchers have "set backs" before in this simulation. He's going to be out at least six weeks.

I think it's time for you guy to take this to DMs or just ignore each other.

Players are given a health ratings and yes, guys that tend to be hurt more often have a better chance of getting hurt and needing to go on the DL. As a manager, you have to manage your bullpen appropriately as well as you risk injuring a pitcher if you pitch him when he fatigued. I typically won't pitch a reliever under 80% readiness and rarely under 90%.

My plan was to put him in the 60-day DL (which I did) and then re-evaluate with any news we're hearing at that time about Mancini in real life.

I set the Orioles lineups and make all the in game pinch hitting and bullpen moves. The AI sets the lineups and makes the moves for the opponent.

There is little doubt the lineup without Mancini and Villar is very, very weak. Especially when you consider the replacements for them were Iglesias and basically Williams/Velaika.

Yeah, the pitching has been surprisingly good so far though I doubt it lasts. The hitting has been putrid. It will get better but I don't think it's going to be a strength this year.
