  1. Spring training may help a younger guy get noticed by some people who may not have seen them before. But overall, I think almost all of these guys have a pretty good idea where they are going before they arrive in Florida/Arizona.
  2. I'd have no problem with this. There is enough versatility with the infield that this shouldn't be a problem.
  3. Agreed. If by mid-season he's still struggling in Aberdeen, then I'll be concerned.
  4. Wow...Tony ranked higher than such notables as Mark Teixiera, Cito Gaston, Rich Garcia, and Keith Law. Wonder how that could be?
  5. I think they've made great strides under Elias. That new facility in the DR isn't going to hurt, either.
  6. Baumann has better "stuff". I think Tate is ok, but I would not want him in high-leverage situations.
  7. Personally, I'd just prefer another good reliever...don't care if they are left-handed or right-handed. Perez and Coulombe are fine in their roles.
  8. Sorry...but who are you comparing to Urias?
  9. Just thinking of a Burnes/Bradish/Rodriguez top of the rotation sounds pretty dominant to me. Heck, it actually might be a Rodriguez/Burnes/Bradish 1-2-3.
  10. Agreed. Lorenzen doesn't move the needle. If you are going to acquire a pitcher, acquire one that's a difference maker.
  11. Agree with this. I prefer Irvin in the rotation over Wells. Like I said earlier in this thread...I think Wells' stuff will play up a bit in the pen.
  12. Agree with you, Greg. I trust Wells in the pen more than anyone other than Kimbrel. I think his stuff will play up in the pen.
  13. After the top 4, I'm not really confident. Well, I'm not 100% confident with Cano, either. Kimbrell and the two lefties are the only two that I somewhat trust to be productive, if used in the right way. The rest of these guys are a crapshoot.
  14. I don't know that he's "beloved" or that they just think they can still use him while he's relatively cheap. I don't know what good putting him at 2B is, other than that maybe they are looking at offers for Urias and want to see if he can play there.
