I love this thread. It would be great if this narrative about Cano being a gold glover could make its way to an influential site like Fangraphs or other places. Cano is an excellent athlete and doesn't get the credit for it.

This year really needs to a be a year where the Orioles go all in. The Yankees may or may not get Cole back, but more importantly the Rays are temporarily down. By next year, the Rays will get back Taj Bradley, Shane Baz, Shane McClanahan, and Drew Rasmussen. That will make for quite a formidable staff while pushing some of their starters to the pen. Now is really the time to strike. At the deadline, it would be very smart to add an elite bullpen arm. It will likely cost more than anyone wants to pay but given Kimbrel's struggles in the past in the playoffs is a gamble worth taking.

Count me as so one who wants to see this as well. Suarez looks like something to me. The bullpen suddenly looks promising.

Yep, Holliday is still scuffling a bit. Mayo is going to have to kick down the door for him to push Westburg. There have got to be teams out there looking to poach Norby. Can’t imagine he is still here at the deadline.

He is one of my favorite guys on the team. So happy for him. He didn’t moan when he got sent down last year. He was grinding over the winter to get better and is working with someone on the mental side. Just a great story and now a guy that has forced his way into the rotation.
