  1. That sucks. I don’t think they had enough to overturn that call at 2nd but whatever.
  2. Sometimes I don’t know if Kevin Brown knows what these pitches are. He just called something a sinker that sure didn’t look like a sinker.
  3. Taking a little bit of joy in the Nats fielding a bunch of no-namers.
  4. Very sad. RIP to the best 3rd baseman ever. Got a chance to meet him about 15 years ago. What a nice guy.
  5. It is encouraging to see. I wouldn't bank on him for the postseason but I think it'd be a nice shot in the arm for this team.
  6. If only there were a place where we discussed minor leaguers... I really don't care where this gets posted but others do. Anyway, it's gotta be a good day if you're reminded of Garabez Rosa.
  7. Roch just posted a video of Felix on the mound throwing to a batter.
  8. Gotta win both. I don't think the Nats are as bad as people thought they were going to be but they're sure not great. Josiah Gray isn't bad, but his WHIP is 1.471. His K/BB ratio is 1.74 and he walks 4.6/9. Here's hoping our guys can stay patient at the plate tonight...if so, I think they'll be rewarded. Corbin is leading the league in losses for the third straight year, his ERA is 5.13 and his FIP is 5.21. He doesn't walk as many batters as Gray does, but we should still be able to hit him and hang another loss on him.
  9. Sure, but people are searching for answers as to why Adley wasn't as good this year as he was last year. Citing that he's played a lot, it's not unreasonable for people to leap to the conclusion that he's tired. It's not a Grand Canyon sized leap in logic.
  10. Cause it's weird. I dunno, I really don't care who's wrong and who's right around here because no one bats 1.000 either way. But to victory lap and rub people's faces in it when they're wrong is odd to me, even the louder voices like SG (who's does bat 1.000, just ask him). But, like @Malike said, you do you.
  11. That’s Stevie Nicks opening for Billy Joel that night too, not exactly a lightweight lineup there.
  12. That’s an interesting benchmark, especially with guys like Bench and Piazza who defined power hitting for catchers. Some will say that means he played too much this season, though.
