  1. Super easy this morning. 9/9 with a 146. I’m thinking that number might drop throughout the day. Started it right at 9 am so all the players were at 100%.
  2. I’m starting to believe this. Their starting pitching is elite.
  3. The timing is terrible. Need to be able to hold a tiebreaker over the Rays, going into a tailspin against the team we're fighting it out for the division is awful. Winning the division isn't just an accomplishment for fans to brag about, it's important because these guys get some significant rest before their first playoff series. No one should be glad about this.
  4. Chest thumping about how you’re right about the Orioles being bad is weird. You constantly saying that you “take no pleasure in this” is a lie. You absolutely are, or else you wouldn’t be taking victory laps about it. You’re more worried about your “prediction coming true” and telling everyone about what an impressive alpha male you are than anything else. It’s sad, it’s pathetic and it’s probably narcissism.
  5. Orioles need some of this Flex duct tape to hold their season together.
  6. I told myself last night that I wasn’t gonna watch this tonight cause ja had a feeling this would be the outcome. And then I didn’t have any other plans, so why not? Maybe Flaherty actually gets his **** together, maybe the bats wake up. I’ll watch. Should have known. I mean, I did know. Still watched anyway. This sucks. We looked lost last night, tonight we looK pathetic.
  7. This isn’t the drubbing I was expecting but our bats are still nowhere to be found.
  8. Expecting a disaster tonight. Anything else is a pleasant surprise.
  9. When I tell you two homers and four doubles over 139 more at bats, do you think I am NOT talking about rate stats?
  10. What are you talking about? Yeah, two homers and four doubles away from matching last years power numbers in ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY NINE MORE AT BATS.
  11. I don't think he's been as good on defense this year. The power is the big dropoff, for me. Bigger than the defense.
  12. Palmeiro 1.0 shouldn't be tarnished by Palmeiro 2.0. He was simply awesome.
  13. I was hoping for that production across a whole season. I think anyone can admit that there's a possibility he could have backslid this year but no one was banking on it. I think we could all agree that we're hoping for better production from Gunnar next year, for example, but it's a possibility he might not do what he's done this year, too.
  14. The Adam Jones thread quickly delved into where he fits as an all-time Oriole. From the looks of it, most people are comfortable putting him somewhere in the top 20, this includes metrics (a WAR war) and perceived meaning and impact to the team/leadership aka the touchy-feelies. The Jones thread is a good distraction from the recent skid this team has hit. And as I'm sitting here on a Friday afternoon procrastinating work and trying not to think about Jack Flaherty going against Tampa tonight, I'm admittedly looking for another distraction. So who is the most underrated Oriole of all time? This could be a good debate. The term underrated can have a pretty broad meaning, so be sure to include your definition of it, too.
  15. I don't think anyone looked at his 131 OPS+ last year and was expecting him to be at 119+ this year.
  16. I feel that's accurate and not too much of an ask.
