I get these random emails from MLB in my inbox. Some are team specific (pretty sure I never signed up to be on any Braves newsletters) but this one is from MLB Pipeline. It was written by Jonathan Mayo, and he's projecting who the top 10 prospects will be in 2025: He assumes that Skenes and Crews will have graduated by next year and have lost rookie status by then. Anyway, nice to see Basallo getting some recognition.

I'd take a group of 26 axe murderers and felons if it meant winning a World Series. This is all very nice and gives me the warm and fuzzies. Hopefully we can have a group of nice, well mannered, high character Eagle Scouts AND win at least one World Series. But I don't really care at the end of the day.

Call me when he cools off. He’s on a great heater right now though. Maybe the bad luck that’s hampered him for over two years will go away and he’ll have a streak of two lucky years ahead of him as recompense.

No one's saying to throw it away. But if he can only provide 17 starts a year, that's a little more than half of what a typical starter should be able to do. He will provide value no matter where he is. All I was saying is that I don't understand is how that someone so big and strong looking has issues with getting exhausted by July.

Yeah, I agree he should be good out of the bullpen. Either way, he should be an asset to this team moving forward.
