  1. I don’t think Bradfield is as clueless at the plate as Mateo appears to be. Hard to tell. One is 21 years old and hasn’t played a pro game yet, the other is an established major leaguer. I don’t think one really has to do with the other.
  2. Those ADT patches on the Marlins jerseys are awesome. I can’t wait to see what jerkoff company gets their logo on the Orioles sleeve when the time comes.
  3. Clearly you don't understand, yet you've had many people explain it to you. So either you're being intentionally obtuse or trolling at this point. You seemed to want to have an honest conversation about Belanger's career value but don't want to engage anyone in an honest conversation.
  4. I think Mateo has been very good, perhaps excellent at times. But Belanger is in the conversation as being one of the best defensive shortstops ever. I don't think anyone is putting Mateo in that conversation. Per @billhatf's and @24fps's explanations, they're exactly correct. His value was in his defense. You don't have to like it or understand it, but that's what the stats show.
  5. Hader would be a great get. Not sure what he's gonna cost but that would really shore up the bullpen. I'd still like another reliever on top of that, too.
  6. Looks like the Yankees finally beat the Astros.
  7. Hope we put on a good show. But the narrative will be how the Yankees are having a bad season and what are they gonna do? Etc.
  8. I do, too. They're so far off my radar.
  9. I didn't know we were invested in the Gunnar/Trea Turner head to head competition for WAR supremacy this year.
  10. That wasn't a Super Bowl. That was an AFC Divisional Playoff Game. Do I have thoughts on MJ's 6? Kobe's 5? Jeter's 5? I think you're hoisting those up as evidence that, as you said, repeated luck is some evidence that they were able to be better than lucky or something. What you're not talking about is all the times they didn't win a title. Where the ball didn't bounce their way, where they ran into a hotter opponent. There certainly are controllable factors, especially a little bit more in basketball where an MJ or a Kobe is 20% of your team on the floor and they can be fed the ball to score.
  11. Pretty sure Charles Woodson feels unlucky.
  12. My strategy of throwing Edwin Jackson into a square that I didn't have a clue on paid off today. Still missed two, though.
  13. Well after the last two games against the Yankees and sweeping the Twins I like our pitching right now. And the offense is starting to click. I mean, who knows what’ll happen after the ASB, but things were looking good headed into it. G-Rod coming back strong would be huge.
