  1. Yeah, I don't really consider Hall a prospect anymore. Unless the definition of a prospect is a guy that doesn't have a lot of ML experience or hasn't proven himself at the ML level. Using that big of an umbrella, sure, he is a prospect.
  2. It's cool to dunk on Bowden for being a doofus but when he starts laying out trade targets that your team might have, all of a sudden he's some kind of wizard. I don't think we trade any of these guys, but you never know. This will be the first season under Elias where the Orioles are a legit contender and he's not obviously trying to add to the rebuild. In other words, he's never been able to deal from this position before and I'm not sure if he pulls the trigger on anything other than a minor move. That doesn't mean I agree with that, I'm just stating what I think will happen. IMO, this team needs bullpen pieces in the worst way, we should move someone to get them.
  3. You’re gonna be pissy when JH isn’t up next year. Start working on that outrage now.
  4. Power potential in regards to hitting it really far? Or hitting dingers often? I think Adley can hit one really far if he gets ahold of it. But Gunnar is quickly turning into our top overall power threat from a distance perspective AND the ability to go deep often. O'Hearn looks country strong like a little lesser version of Jim Thome.
  5. Yeah, I think that sums it up well. It's not even a dimension. It's like a fraction of a dimension that he brings to the table, which is that he can hit lefties.
  6. I'd love for him to be good, too.
  7. If Akin is really coming around and looking like the guy he was in the first half of last year, that would be huge.
  8. Impressed with how Wells rebounded in this start. But I think the damage was too much to recover from. Orioles bats are inept today.
  9. I said it before, I'll say it again here: Hicks plate discipline and solid outfield defense > Mountcastle. I'm aware that Hicks isn't this good. Mountcastle has declined every year since he's been in the league. I don't think this is a trend that should be ignored.
  10. This game is far from over, but it sure is ugly. It sucks to have the Mariners next, they always seem to have our number. Two weeks ago I would have said that the Reds would be a welcome respite, but now all of a sudden they're the Elly De La Cruz show and have won 10 straight. Figuring out a way to come back and win this game would be huge.
  11. I get why you're saying this but I don't find it to be necessarily true. Davey Johnson was the 2nd baseman for the Orioles in 1971, he was head and shoulders above what Frazier is today. Frank Robinson was the right fielder in 1971 and while he wasn't as effective as he was in 1966, he still put up an .894 OPS. Grich and Baylor had monster seasons in the minors that year. But I think what you're trying to say is that the 1971 Orioles had veterans that they weren't interested in moving for guys in the minors who were putting up ridiculous stats. But no one on this roster carries the weight that Frank Robinson did in 1971, even as he was on the downside of his career they were going to wait until the offseason to trade him.
  12. Damn, back to back jacks. That'll get the WHIP up. I don't know if that's a homer in any other park.
  13. Bradish talking about how he got caught up in swing and miss last night...which, dude, come on. You've got swing and miss stuff. Someone needs to explain to him that he can get into the 6th inning and strike out a lot of guys.
