I’m currently sitting on 8/8, racking my brain trying to think of the name of the SS who played for the Nats and then played for Texas and KC.   I remember he had a terrible walk year with the Nats,  signed a pillow contract and hit very well as an OF for Texas, then signed a big deal with KC and sucked there.  I can picture him, know all this crap about him, but the name is eluding me.  I’ll sit on this all day if I have to.

It wasn’t K.C. after TX. It was CO. If we are thinking the same guy.

  2. Orioles row today. Couldn’t pull the non obvious Reds 200 hit answer. Have to go back a ways.

My Cubs column combined for 1.1. But I only got 159 total because I had the high score for the other two Reds columns.

    Orioles row was 9.3.

I don’t see him being allowed to leave as a DC. He’s the assistant coach.

I believe he can because he’s a position coach and DC is a promotion. I understand that he is an Assistant Coach, but from what I’ve read, that doesn’t really matter. If it did, teams would make every single coach an assistant.

One of today's grid squares had a good over/under whether or not to trust that Matt Holliday had a 40 WAR career.

I think in the spirit of fandom as long as Jackson is around Matt gets honorary status for all Orioles grid tries.

Haha. Thanks. I’ll try him for that square. I’m stumped on an ex-O for MN/CO square, but have ex-Os for the other seven. Some good choices for TX left fielder. I have 34 for those seven squares with 22 coming from the MN/TX one.

We had the same top left corner. Ended up with 27. Used two Orioles on the Cleveland row.

You could have used Murray again!

The six SD 200 game winners is tough. There are six. I see your answer so now I can think of three. When you look, it shows all 200 game winners, not just the Padres.

  7. So they did count the combine no hitter participants. And since my answer is the guy who threw a nine inning no hitter only got 25, then I guess they counted guys who pitched for Baltimore but threw their no hitter for a different team.

I’m honestly probably in the minority of Commanders fans, where I want Dolphins OC Frank Smith or Macdonald.  I think Slowik might be a year early on his ascension.  But…..add another to the Mike Shanahan-Redskins coaching tree in time.

I’d be happy with Smith. I’d also be interested in Shane Waldren (Sea) but I never hear his name come up. Wouldn’t be excited about Morris, Glenn, or Quinn.

Johnson, Slowick, Smith, Macdonald, Waldren would be my top five in order.
