I never said I was worried about his velocity, if he's effective, great. I don't think you need to throw 97 to be a good pitcher. Velocity is down on nearly all of our starters this season, they seem to be doing okay.

Quick question. How much worse than the other 29 GMs is Elias in making roster decisions, acquisitions, and transactions? I think it's likely that fans from all 30 teams say the same hyperbolic statement about their GM.

If Irvin were an acquisition made today to help bolster the bullpen, I don't think anyone would think that would be an impact move or be happy with that. Suarez, who knows? He's thrown 11 innings, let the league start looking at the data and see if they adjust.

Kimbrel has a career 3.7 BB9. To think he would be a control specialist is setting yourself up for disappointment. He also happens to have a career 14.2 K/9, which more often than not bails him out.
