  1. Westburg would have made that play.
  2. I believe that Westburg leads the team at first pitch swings, somewhere around 50% of the time.
  3. The strike zone is about as wide as the basepaths.
  4. I didn't have a problem with O'Hearn. I also didn't think that he would be an above-average player this year and I didn't think the O's would be leading the division at any point this year. Glad I was wrong about the last 2 things.
  5. Pretty sure Lopez is pitching today no matter. Hyde isn't shy about baptism by fire.
  6. I think he's referring to blocking the plate or not, not interference, that one is pretty easy to determine.
  7. If Cleveland can do 1 thing it's pitch. We'll get them this month as well.
  8. Flaherty wasn't being hit hard all game, only 6 balls in play were hard hit. Gallen gave up more hard hit balls.
  9. Palmer said 3 feet from either side of the bag on the O's broadcast.
  10. Man, the legend of Westburg is certainly bigger than the man if they think they need to game-plan him lol.
  11. DBacks fans are shouting how awful Lovullo is at pulling his pitcher at the proper time. He's costing them wins.
  12. Every pitcher in baseball is fortunate that some balls were foul. You can't hold that against them. He had 7 Ks in 4.2 IP, he threw some competitive pitches.
  13. Flaherty wasn't even that bad outside of the 2 solo HRs.
  14. Longoria always kills the O's, even the old man version.
  15. 2 of them were balls. I don't think he was expecting a 3-2 curveball, I have a hard time faulting the C for not swinging at the 2 that were balls.
  16. Flaherty deserves the thanks. He froze him on a curveball in a 3-2 count.
  17. They said Hyde wants to use him as soon as possible so likely today.
  18. Just terrible calls from umps all year.
  19. I agree, they had to make a perfect play and they did.
  20. Dodgers brutalized Gallen, I hope he's not back to form.
  21. I'd go so far as to argue if Cowser played as well as Westburg is now, ~.700 OPS he would never have been sent back down.
  22. I'm pretty sure the plan was supposed to be a development year for Cowser and they were going to live with the growing pains. The team showed up a year early and when they kept continuing to win, I think that likely put a damper on running Cowser out there in a daily role.
  23. I don't know if he was actually playing through injury or a little dinged up. They seem redundant with the bat (Frazier and Hicks) but at least they aren't both IF. I'm sure they want to see how he looks to determine if he's worth a playoff roster spot.
