  1. Mateo should be the cautionary tale for everyone who thinks our top 100 prospects can't miss. He was a top 100 prospect.
  2. I'd go through and snip the gameday graphics of each time he was hit middle-middle, but I'm up to 8 and yeah, it's not worth it.
  3. He's at 66 pitches through 4, I don't know how much longer we'll get to see what he's made of.
  4. Velo is down, he's throwing either balls out of the hand or leaving it middle-middle. The D has picked him up, he's not having a good day.
  5. Keep chucking 96 middle-middle and see how that works out for you, kid.
  6. Hope they brought their batting shoes tonight, Grayson looks like the old version.
  7. Rodriguez has a 1.4 WHIP, do you think he's not going to have another stinker this season? Does he belong on the playoff roster based on the few starts he's had since coming back up? What if Toronto blows his doors off tonight?
  8. Agreed. He will be nice out there if he's got his stuff back, though.
  9. I don't disagree at all, but his HR rate is 2.0 this year and it's 1.6 in his career, he can get burned out there, and that does scare me some.
  10. Saw this as well. He sort of scares me in the pen. His proclivity to give up HRs is much easier dealt with in the first or third innings as opposed to coming in and giving up an HR in the 7th or 8th in a leverage situation.
  11. I'll be watching what happens over the course of the next month plus before I freak out about who is the rotation. If GRod gets bombed tonight, people will be saying he won't be in the playoff rotation. Overreaction Hangout has arrived in this thread. Flaherty is adjusting to a new team and league, he gets more than 3 starts before I proclaim he's roasted and needs to go.
  12. Just a bit more rare... Instead of a cycle, Henderson settled for the second four-hit game of his career, becoming the first big leaguer with two or more doubles, a triple and a home run in the same game since David Wright in 2013. He's also the youngest player in franchise history with four extra-base hits in a single game. Next on the list? Cal Ripken Jr.
  13. You don't hire Scott Boras and sign a team-friendly deal. If you want to look at a starting point, simply look at Devers. 11 years 331M dollars. That probably doesn't get it done.
  14. Elias knows who he works for, I'm sure none of this is a shock to him.
