I feel like you're exaggerating. If you think that Tampa was a fluke for 4 months, then you can talk about that. They've had a rough stretch, but they are not a .400 team like have been for the past 25 games or whatever. I'm glad people are excited, but pretending we're going to go in there and face roll them is silly.

I know Torkelson is young, but man, for the amount they paid for him and where they picked him, he's been a bit of a disappointment. He's only had 800 or so ABs but he's not hitting like they figured he would yet.

I heard the Rockies GM today say they are selling, I don't know what they have pitching-wise, but they are in the market for prospects. I've been working so couldn't really look at the team, I don't think I can name a single Rockie.

He's gotten 106ABs this year. 7 games as DH, 3 as PH and the other 26 games at C. Unless BB-Ref is missing something, I don't think he's played 1B. It's not like he's playing too much.

Defensive stud catchers that can't hit are usually backups. McCann is quite good defensively, it's not a bad role for him, imo.

I thought they would be good, but not this good. I was honestly hoping for a real look at the young guys like Ortiz/Cowser/Westburg, etc, but then they started playing really good ball and you can't carry all the young guys through their struggles if you have a legit chance to win.

His defense has kept him above water in very limited playing time WAR-wise. I'd keep him as the backup until we don't need one.
