The odds are better than 0% that many of the prospect names you're listing end up as bad as Mountcastle or worse, who also found himself on the top 100 prospect lists.

Because we need to have a homegrown 40-man, it's simple. We only have 16 currently. Teams like the Royals with 26 guys from their own system are doing it the right way. Tampa and Atlanta have an embarrassingly low 13 homegrown guys on the 40-man.

I agree with this, I'd honestly rather they give them tons of play time and if the record keeps plummeting, so be it, let these kids get accustomed to hitting and playing up here to pay real dividends next year.

Not sure why people keep saying Bradish rebounded after a rough start to the season. He got knocked out of his first game in 1.2 IP thanks to getting hit by a comebacker, and he has 1 start where he gave up 7 runs and 1 where he gave up 4. He's given up 3 or less in every other start this season. Where was the rough start? The 1 game against Boston who owns him?

This was exactly my point, not sure how it was so easily missed. The argument was we don't have pitchers who can pitch late in games consistently enough and we can't win if we don't have guys who can pitch 6+ innings in each start consistently in the playoffs. The data shows that most teams have a really fast hook in the playoffs and a bullpen who can shut guys down.
