  1. Right, why not just do the prudent thing and look at the larger sample sizes? See the upward trend? It's pretty nice.
  2. So if we're being honest he had one bad week, right? The last 7 days are included in the last two weeks.
  3. I can't think of a single team that doesn't do this with their own players let alone one that you've traded really valuable prospects for, and if the pitcher, who knows his body and doesn't want to take another 2 year break from the game says I can't do it and you force him to, then that's an org I wouldn't want to be a fan of.
  4. I know what you're doing here, but you know that teams value their assets. No team who is pitching Crochet this year is throwing him 200 innings after throwing 25 in two years and never started before. He could say I have a dead arm, end of story, images can't disprove that. Teams that invest tens of millions of dollars on players or send a ton of prospect capital for a player aren't going to hose their investment.
  5. It appears that he has an agreement in place in Chicago. I sort of doubt that the team that trades for him isn't aware and doesn't respect it. In fact, I'd wager most teams are going to err on the side of caution with their most valuable assets. If a team says screw you, you're throwing till your arm falls off, maybe he "suddenly" starts missing in the middle of the plate at 90 MPH over and over.
  6. If I were Crochet and had a really bright future and was throwing at a Cy Young level after not pitching for 2 years you'd have to pay me a lot of money if you wanted me to possibly ruin my arm this year for you.
  7. It's possible, like half of their top 30 are pitchers so they probably have some decent arms in the minors.
  8. If I were an MLB pitcher and a young one with immense talent, I wouldn't let an org ruin my arm coming back from injury. He's a reliever who is starting his first year, I don't think it would be outlandish for him and his agent to have said to the CWS, sure, I'll start this year. I'm not throwing 200 innings.
  9. Yeah, I meant to say he's struggled in the last month. His overall ERA is still 3.88. He wouldn't be better than Rodriguez. They may have arms in the minors but I doubt they are trading anyone from the rotation, pitching is what is going to keep them in the playoff hunt. I have no idea what their pitching prospects look like.
  10. It appears it's more of a Crochet thing. The report also suggests any team that trades for him might have to negotiate an extension to get Crochet to agree to lift a workload limitation in the second half of the season.
  11. I feel like this has turned into a troll thread. If you don't think what Basallo is doing is rare and not extremely valuable, there is no changing your mind and there should be no further discussion.
  12. Woo is hurt, Miller has a 6 ERA, they have 3 starters they can rely on, they aren't trading any of them. They are linked to Fedde among others.
  13. The Mariners are looking for pitching they aren't trading any.
  14. Who said he had vertigo again?
  15. Cowser is brutal to watch lol.
  16. They were off June 17th.
  17. Predictable. Same thing happened on Apple TV earlier this season.
  18. He hurt his hip in the Soto collision. He hurt his knee admiring a HR that wasn't and went into 3rd standing up after trying to turn the jets on and subsequently made the 3rd out at 3rd base.
  19. Yes after 3Ks. Then he struck out a 4th time. It wasn't the shoes.
  20. Langford might get into positive oWAR after tonight's game. Probably not, but maybe.
  21. I don't care about the loss, I hate the run differential hit though heh.
  22. Westburg's OAA justified.
  23. More people probably saw that game than this one. Nobody watches ESPN, the ratings are terrible. They are averaging 1.5M viewers for Sunday Night Baseball.
  24. They were on Fox last night.
