  1. I mean, he's made 4.7M dollars the past two seasons. I think he can afford steak every once in a while.
  2. Julio Rodriguez started out very poorly last season and absolutely took off in July and ended up with 32 HR's and 103 RBI with an .818 OPS. I don't think he's cooked, he's still just 23 years old.
  3. How is Mayo more expendable than Kjerstad? No wonder Bowden hasn't had a GM job for years.
  4. He didn't appear very "rangey" when he was up but he made the plays he should have in a small sample. There were several balls he didn't get to that I thought Mateo would have. I think Norby has been playing LF in AAA.
  5. He's got an outside chance of ending his career with the most strikeouts ever by a RP. That might help his case. Kimbrel threw 77 innings in 2011 with Atlanta.
  6. Then they likely go back to Westy at 3B and Mateo at 2B I would think. Perhaps giving Norby or Holliday some time at 2B as well.
  7. Haha, I remember you calling him that.
  8. Mateo is starting to swoon, he's not going to start every day if he's not hitting. I think we're more likely to see Westburg to 2B and Mayo getting a good look at 3B.
  9. Just as much a chance he's a poor man's Mateo.
  10. I'd imagine it was a rare feat back then. If you strike out less than 1200 times a year in this day and age that's pretty elite.
  11. Right more than a full run higher on the road for his career and more than a run and a half higher this season on the road.
  12. Which is why Kirby is Cy Young at home and has a 4+ ERA on the road.
  13. Kimbrel, so far, is pretty well in line with his career.
  14. I think the issue with Kimbrel is you can't throw him 70 IP a year at this point, and expect him to have something left for the playoffs.
  15. Someone on Reddit posted this and I thought it was interesting. The Phillies are right with SD, WAS, and ATL.
  16. Power? His power is a 30 rating.
  17. It means they got Civale without giving up much of anything but a lotto ticket.
  18. He doesn't have a strong arm. Even a professional scout like you should be able to see that.
  19. Barrios wasn't even a top 20 prospect for MIL.
  20. They gave up a top 75 prospect. I guess they are lucky to get something with the way Civale is pitching this year.
  21. The Rays traded a highly rated prospect for exactly 1 year of Civale. It will be interesting to see what they get back from MIL.
  22. Agreed. I still think it's more likely that Westburg will be traded before they try him in the OF. (I don't think either scenario will happen, realistically.) I think Westburg to 2B and Mayo to 3B will get a trial run at some point in the very near future.
