Couldn't most service time gaming be solved by declaring players free agents after 6 or 7 years of service time instead of the 6.190 or whatever it currently takes? There'd at least be no more three weeks in April when you belong in the majors

There were the "Mauer with power" comps, which if he hit like Joe Mauer but averaged 25HR a year for a decade-plus would be a HoF career. But yeah, I don't remember anyone saying he was a surefire hall of famer. Even the dumbest talking heads of the hype machine don't get that hyperbolic. No one is a surefire hall of famer at draft time

I know we have a lot of guys with decent ceilings, but I've been wondering roughly what percent of prospects actually hit their ceilings?

They have Cleveland right at the bottom with Baltimore, does anyone believe Cleveland is bad at developing talent? Also, this is since 2000 and we all know the Orioles are better at developing talent now than they were back in the 15 seasons of darkness

What? Diaz seems much better to me than a comp pick. What percent of comp picks even make AA let alone succeed there?
