I was thinking Givens down the road. But yeah, getting some of that young pitching in the Gausman deal would have been ideal.

Kind of off topic but I was looking at the wealth of young arms the Braves have. Is there anything that we have that could entice them to move one or two of those arms? They are going for it so maybe if they suffer an injury of some type they'd be more open to moving some young pitching. I was just wondering if we matchup anywhere.

It could be a trend if nobody else steps up. With that said, the rest of the pen looked good with the exception of Bleier this weekend.

I watched 1 game. He wasn't watching the ball at all, just swinging and hoping to make contact. The phillies announcers made a comment along the lines of how badly he was missing the pitch. Even the pitches he took, he didn't follow the path of the baseball with his eyes.

I think they should make Davis pitching coach. I don't think there's anyone on earth that has the ability to make a AAAA starter look like a Hall of Famer other than him.

I think we did very well. If only we started this "rebuild" philosophy in the offseason I believe we would have done much better. All the red flags were there (that a rebuild was inevitable) after our finish last year. Overall this new philosophy is refreshing.
