1. There is at least one Auburn player (Nosa Eguae) who played a significant role on the 2010 national champion team. He's now a senior. What a couple of bookends to a career, with a crap filling. 14-0 8-5 3-9 12-1 (Playing for another NC)
2. It's certainly a long shot, but if FSU and OSU lose next week, and Auburn wins, we'll be looking at a rematch for the NC. That would be amazing.
3. I know I'll never stop talking about it. With all the hype that led up to this game, it wasn't enough really. Who would have thought the game would have been better than all the talk about it.
4. I've never seen anything like that. You guys are tough as nails. What a great game.
5. This years Buckeyes team may end up resembling 2004 Auburn. Hopefully we eliminate that by beating Bama though. 1993 will never be forgot by me. Nix to Sanders on 4th and 15 was amazing. Those two connected on some memorable plays.
6. Man, I'm so excited for this game. It feels so much like 1989. I can't believe it's still 3 more days away. We're gonna have to hit some deep passes. Otherwise, Bama can just put 8 or 9 in the box and try to stuff our run game. Also, we have to put Bama in 3rd and passing situations. If we do that, our D-Line is good enough to pin their ears back and make it tough on AJ, because he's not mobile enough to hurt us (knock on wood). It's definitely shaping up to be a great one.
7. Oh, I'm not offended or anything. If you don't give it back to Bammers they don't know when to shut up. Besides, I know the Camback is a sure fire way to zip most Bammers' mouths.
8. Here's one of those games:
9. 0-5 against good Auburn teams (9 or more wins).
10. Nick Saban has never beat an Auburn team that won 9 games, so you must be talking about distant memories.
11. It's certainly ramped up the hype. That will be annoying for the next 2 weeks. All the outsiders telling us how important this one is. Not having a clue about why 1989 will always be the most special Iron Bowl. It's just like that awful Espn documentary. They could've had it done by an Auburn guy and a Bama guy. Then you'd get a great perspective.
12. I still can't believe that happened. I can't believe they blew a 20 point lead. I can't believe I got up and left the bar I was at, which caused UGA to rally. I can't believe the refs said Murray scored on that 4th down call. I can't believe that when I went back to the bar I was at, and settled in, Louis makes the most unbelievable and fortunate play I've ever seen. I can't believe Murray drove UGA all the way down to the 20 in about 15 seconds, and had a chance to win it. Finally, I can't believe we stopped them at the 20 as time ran out. They're calling it "The Prayer at Jordan-Hare."
13. This could be the first time the Iron Bowl has been a de facto SEC West Championship Game. It may be the biggest one since Alabama finally visited Auburn for the first time in 1989. Of course, the South's oldest rivalry is first. UGA, though dealing with a lot of injuries, is an extremely talented team.
14. He'd be a heck of a WR if he'd stop dropping the ball. In fairness to him, that was a difficult catch to make at the end of the 1st half.
15. We got embarassed 3 times last year. A&M, UGA, Bama. 1 down, 2 to go. IN the meantime, I'm thrilled to see the effort and intensity that wasn't there last year. The previous coaching staff let the inmates run the asylum and there was no discipline, as was evidenced by the effort put forth in our last 3 SEC games. The new staff absolutely won't let that happen. War Eagle!!!
16. When I was 6 in 1986. When to an Orioles v. Indians doubleheader. I was obsessed with baseball and so angry that my parents made us leave because my brother (who was 1) was crying. I became a strong Orioles fan because of Cal Ripken. He maintained my interest in the O's. When Cal retired, my interest wained. Then I found this place and you could say I'm obsessed again.
17. I still don't get what's wrong with refuting it. He's not adding to anything, he's putting a stop to a rumor that's out there. That seems the opposite of irresponsible journalism. He's letting people know what's going on.
18. Why is it irresponsible? He's passing on what he heard. Would it be better if the rumor wasn't part of him passing that info on?
19. I wonder if there is anywhere to see projected WAR lost due to injury time each year. While Hardy and Matusz have been very big losses, Jaku and Izzy are minimal at worst. We might have actually slightly benefited by having the players who replaced them.
20.

I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it.

21. I was prepared to say yes w/out reading why the OP thought this way, but after reading it I would say absolutely YES!!!
22.

I thought you came off very well. I enjoyed the story about Cal, he was my favorite player growing up too.
