  1. For now. He will mature. He’s still inexperienced. There’s zero value in taking an aggressive lead in that situation.
  2. I was expecting to see a larytt style post, tbh. Lol are you running sql queries over a stat database? Or am I dating myself? Either way, cool concept. This group will help you hone it for sure.
  3. Correct. Or worse, he could be Tim Lincecum, who was a generational pitcher with an incredibly short shelf life. Well, only worse if we extend him early and he breaks.
  4. Exactly. I had this same internal dialogue today, actually. He could break over the next 5 years, or he could be worthy of extending. Either way, that's not a today problem. Just let him be for now.
  5. The way the blue chip FA contracts are going lately is that they're only 2-3 years at a time to keep up with market value. I'd spend our ownership's money at $50m/yr to keep Burnes for 2-3 more years. Let someone else pay him in 2027 or 2028.
  6. Needlenose Ced? Ced the Head? BING!
  7. Took it out to the warning track by the tall wall in RF. Wouldn't say he crushed it, but encouraging based on what we've seen so far.
  8. That's what I thought I heard. LOL. Yeah, kind of a dumb question for April 17. (even though the answer is yes, even if we don't win 102 games)
  9. Anyone watching the broadcast just catch the question someone (Rich?) asked O'Hearn about whether he thinks the team can get better? Was interested in the exact question and response, but my DVR isn't letting me rewind at the moment.
  10. We are leading MLB in team HRs, but the ball is FLYING out of the yard this year IMO. I still stipulate that we typically don't see this sort of action until early May, particularly with the LF wall, but maybe my memory is not serving me in this instance.
  11. Do you hate Cal more or less than you hated the Angelos Cartel? Just trying to get a gauge on exactly how irrational you are about this.
  12. Agree. This is why I hope this doesn’t continue much longer.
  13. Remind me… Was Gunnar ever sent back down once he got up here? If that happened, I don’t remember it. I definitely think that Jackson is here to stay, but I wasn’t expecting his first week to be so anemic.
  14. Good reminder. But for an SP vs an everyday player, Jackson may only get a few weeks. Hope it doesn’t come to fruition. I’m not familiar with his scouting report, but he seems to be swinging at a ton. Is that his game, or is he just young and pressing too much? Or both?
  15. Knowing this place, I’m not the only one wondering, but maybe I’m the first one to put it out there. How long of a leash does Jackson have before he’s sent down for a little reset like they did for Rodriguez last year? Obviously, I hope he makes this post look stupid by the end of the week, but I do wonder if there is any point at which a healthy Jackson Holliday isn’t on the big league roster.
  16. Cowser and Holliday could put ur offense over the top this year. Cowser is really locked in right now… fun to watch.
  17. There's only 1 reason why he was called into that office last night, and Buck was not hiding it well. LOL
  18. Watch me. You have no idea how high I can fly.
  19. I notice this sort of thing as well. But it doesn't have much context if you're not also considering where he's being pitched. I took a minute to look at his highlights from yesterday afternoon. He pulled the sac fly with some authority on an inside pitch. The 2 run double was low and down the middle, maybe a hair inside. Looked like he was letting the ball travel to me, so a good approach. The double off the wall was high and inside, which I thought was curious since he hit it with such authority. Combined with the other double, I think he was looking to go LCF at Fenway, which is absolutely a good approach there for LH hitters. No sense in trying to go to CF, RCF, or RF at Fenway; that's where fly balls go to die.
  20. This is the even more exciting thing here IMO. Yes, J-Ho is going to be fun to watch. We probably have the best MI combo in the galaxy for the next 5 years now. But there's STILL more to come and our ceiling will be pushed even higher.
  21. Why not? We've made it about everything else.
  22. Aiden Hutchinson was the #1 overall pick in the NFL draft recently. I think they're playing other sports.
